Obituary: Heaven rejoiced as Beatrice V. Pena left this world to be with her Lord and Savior after a long and brave fight with cancer on 12, 2015. Beatrice was born on 21, 1944 in Berclaire, Texas to the late Maximilano and Anastacia (Esparza) Valenzuela. She married the love of her life, Ernest Pena on 12, 1989. Beatrice was a very caring and loving person. She never knew a stranger, she always took time to talk and visit with everyone she came across. She was known by all as Aunt Bea, she loved life and spending time with her family and friends. She loved her church family and her Lord and Savior. Aunt Bea was a very special person and will be greatly missed by all and never to be forgotten. Beatrice is survived by five sisters; Mary Helen Beltran, Janie Fuentez (Lupe), Diana Cuellar (Joe), Lupe Cardenas (Oscar), Amelia Lara (Daniel); two brothers, Cosme Valenzuela, Isidro Valenzuela; four step-children, Debra Pena, Michael Pena, Ernie Pena, Martin Pena; many nieces, nephews and family members. She leaves behind her best friend of many years, Delvia Gonzales. In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Pena; brother, Joe Max Valenzuela and a sister, Patricia Valenzuela. Visitation will begin on , 26, 2015 at 9:00 am at Rosewood Chapels with a memorial service at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow at 11:00 am at Memorial Park . The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice of South Texas and the friends and family members that helped take care of Beatrice in her last days with us.
