Obituary: Geraldine Bender was born in Holton, Kansas, the youngest child of Mabel Eller Springer and Alfred Wesley Bender. She attended Stevens and Kansas State University. She married Dr. Frederick Adams Peery on 26, 1937 and son moved to San Antonio welcomed daughters, Susan and Carolyn to complete their family. In the late 60Âs, they moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, living there for 9 years. In the late 70Âs, they returned home. In 1987 and 1989, their two granddaughters, Anne Elizabeth and Catherine Suzanne Pfeiffer arrived to Fred and GeraldineÂs delight. Mrs. PeeryÂs lifeÂs vocation was education. She was a dedicated teacher, particularly teaching Economics at Edison High School. She was a lifelong member of Tri Delta Sorority and an active, longstanding member of the San Antonio Alumni Chapter. She was a member of their Golden Circle, lauding her 50+ years of membership. She will always be remembered for her generous lovingkindness, her great sense of humor and style, her keen intelligence and perception, her love of travel and bridge her spunk and spirit, her love of life and her happy and optimistic attitude, even in adversity. Her husband, daughters, sons-in-law and granddaughters were paramount to herÂ.and she was everything to them. Her family and many, many friends who adored her will never forget her. Obituary: Services for Elizabeth Peerson of Tyler are scheduled for 3 p.m. , 18, 2011 at LLoyd James with Jody Walker, Gus Lopez, and Carol Anne Pauli officiating. Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines following the service under the direction of Lloyd James . Friends are invited to Marios Italian Restaurant across the street from Cathedral in the Pines following the committal service for a celebration and a toast to her life. Elizabeth was born 9, 1919 in Dallas, Texas and left this earth with a band of angels on 15th 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.T. and Minnie Smith of Winnsboro, Texas, and husband, Lawrence Peerson. Elizabeth was one of the last of the glamorous Hollywood- style women. Her radiance, style, poise and grace made her a head-turner when she walked into a room. Her genuine love of life and people made her a pleasure to be around. Elizabeth married the love of her life, Larry Peerson, in the late 40s when they shared one of those truly fairy tale romances that lasted until his death in 2001. traveled extensively and spent over 14 vacations traveling throughout Mexico. During their careers, Elizabeth was an executive secretary and retired with Southwestern Bell (A T&T) after 32 years. Larry was a movie producer for several studios. retired and built a beautiful ranch in Winnsboro ,Texas in the late 70s where they were at the center of the social scene. Everyone loved and wanted an invitation to Elizabeth and Larrys partys. In 2000 they moved to Tyler where Larry passed away in 2001. Elizabeth continued to live life to the fullest, and as her close friends know, doing her own thing. Her last wish was to say, "thank you to all of those who so greatly enriched my life: Buddy,Charles,Carmello,Joyce, Abel, Rojean, Tim, Vern, Eva, Jackie, Judy, Martha, Joyce M., Selma, Joanne, Roland, Mollie, Mario, Camille, Louise, George, Jerry, W.L., Dorothy, Jerre, Kenny, Tracy, ine, Mary, Carleta, Helen, Virginia, Jan, Danny, Mo, Vernique, Afshin, Maria, LaRay, Paula, Linda, Dr. Wilson, Julie,my care giver Wanda and so many more beloved friends.
