Obituary: PEASE Nora Schmidt Pease, age 88, passed away on , May 7, 2012. Nora worked at the Monroe Calculator and Lackland Air Force Base before having children. She was a loving and active mother, holding many leadership roles in PTA, Band Parents and church organizations. She was a member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. Nora and her husband traveled extensively in their Airstream Trailer and enjoyed many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Pease; her son, Kenneth Ray Pease; sisters Lena Mae, Mathilda and Emma, and brothers Fred and Frank. Nora is survived by her daughter, Debra K. Obituary: Kathryn Katie Pease, 80 yrs. of age, played her final round of golf on the morning of 16, 2014. an unfortunate accident, she passed from this earthly home to her heavenly home. She was born in Earlsboro, OK on 13, 1934 to Oscar and Lucy Girty. Her family moved to Cody WY when she was a child. It was there she met the love of her life, Charlie Pease. were married in Cody on 4, 1954 (so Charlie wouldn forget the date). had three children; Jay, Toni and Sheryl. Life was an adventure. lived all over the State of Wyoming until 1964, when Charlie packed everyone up and moved them to Kuwait and that was just the beginning. also lived in South Africa, England, Colorado, Oklahoma and finally Odessa, TX where the weather was perfect for year round golf. Katie said \ No more moves! This is home! Katie was an avid golfer and lots of golf buddies \ (sorry I can name you all). She attended First Baptist Church and had many friends there. She loved following her grand kids from sporting events to music events. Katie was preceded in death by her husband Charlie and her son, Jay. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Toni Gern (Fred) and Sheryl Meyer (Nino), daughter-in-law Judy Pease, grandchildren, Tanner Davis, Dylan Meyer, (Bethany), Shannan Meyer, Derrick Bush (Marcy), Jeff Bush (Laurel) and Adrianne Bush, and three great grandchildren. Obituary: Charles Ray Pease, born May 29, 1923 in Yoakum, Texas, formerly of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on 15, 2007 in his Friendswood, Texas home at the age of 84. He grew up in Cheapside, Texas and graduated from Cuero High School in 1941. He served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater from 1943 to 1946. He returned to San Antonio, Texas to raise his family and work for the Department of Defense at Kelly Air Force Base in the Logistics Support Division. He was baptized by Reverend Howard Hollowell on 31, 1957 at Laurel Heights United Methodist Church, where he was a member until his death. He was a member of Davy Crockett Masonic Lodge #1225 and Scottish Rite, and was active for many years in the Alzafar Shrine Temple. retirement in 1978, he and his wife, Nora, traveled extensively in their Airstream trailer until moving to Friendswood in 2005. Charles was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Ray Pease in 1977, and is survived by his loving wife of 59½ years Nora, daughter Debra Pease of Friendswood, Texas, grandsons Michael and Thomas DeNicola, sister Marguerite Bowman of Hermitage, Arkansas, and brother Jeff Marshall of Pasadena, Texas. He was firmly committed to family and friends and he will be sorely missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. |
