Obituary: Julia Patino, 91, of Houston, Texas, passed away on , 30, 2015. She was born on 24, 1924 in Linares, Mexico to Epitacio and Apolonia Gutierrez. On 23, 1946, Julia married Charles Patino. Julia worked for Foleys as a seamstress for twenty-five years. Above her passion for sewing, she also loved to cook, bake, travel and gamble. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jimmy C. Patino; and eight siblings. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles C. In 1923 she married Mike Patiño, who preceded her to our Lord in 1964. She is survived by her loving daughter, Marie Grace Peñaloza; her grandsons, C. Aaron Peñaloza and his wife Mary, Phillip M. Peñaloza and his wife Emily, Paul D. Peñaloza and his wife Alice; and granddaughter, Feliz M. Jarvis and her husband, Kirk of Dallas, TX. In addition are great grandchildren, Anthony Peñaloza, Catherine A. Horn and her husband David, Paul D. Peñaloza, Christopher R. Peñaloza, C. Michael Peñaloza and Michael S. Jarvis and Acacia G. Hannah lived her remarkable life with joy, cherished her family, and enjoyed being outdoors in the country. She passed on her love of fishing and hunting to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Obituary: I, Gilbert I. Patino born on 2, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to wonderful parents, Gilbert A. Patino and Olga B. Garza, died on , May 28, 2015. I have been fortunate to have married my high school sweetheart, Yolanda, who in life will survive me. She has blessed me with three loving daughters: Rowena Sancho, Regina Castillo and Patience Lares; precious granddaughters: Siobhan Sancho, Yolanda Delgado, Sabrina Sancho, Cassandra Castillo, Christina Castillo and Paige Lares as well as several great grandchildren. My brother, Gerald A. Patino, also survives me; as well as my loyal and dear cat Mr. Julio. My parents, Gilbert A. and Olga B. Patino have preceded me in death, as well as my beloved sister, Joyce O. Arce. As a child, I attended Christ the King Catholic School. Later, I attended Washington Irving Jr. School, Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from Our Lady of the Lake with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. I found great satisfaction as an employee of the City of San Antonio working as a Legal Investigator for 30 years until my retirement. I was a devout member of San Fernando Cathedral as well as a long time member of the Canary Islands Association. I was a proud, direct descendant of Juan Goraz Leal and Juan Curbelo who were members of the original sixteen families who came to San Antonio in 1731 and established the first civil government. I share great respect and pride as a direct descendant of Alejo de la Encarnacion Perez, the youngest known person in the Alamo at the time of the battle and the last known survivor, living until 1918 at the age of 83 and have requested to be buried where Alejo is also laid to rest. Active throughout my lifetime, the most current organizations I was a member of were Los Bexarenos Genealogical and Historical Society, The Sons of the Republic of Texas, Texas Society, Sons of the American Revolution, The National Society Sons of the American Revolution, and also a volunteer for 20 years for Guadalupe Arts and Cultural . Always respected and adored as the patriarch of my family, I leave behind my love, my memories and know my heart will remain true to all. My family welcomes everyone to share in the honor, celebration and a memorable life well lived. Visitation will be held on , 1st from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM in the Porter Loring chapel on McCullough. Obituary: Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fi our brother. George Napoleon Patiño born 15, 1948 passed away in his sleep at home and left this world to join his family in heaven on 14, 2010. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Napoleon and Esperanza Patiño, brother, Richard Patiño, nephew Stephen Patiño. He is survived by his wife Carol; her sisters Joan Fay and Joyce Gillio; brothers Eddie Patiño and wife Ann; Charles Patiño and wife Kathryn; sisters Margie and husband Gilbert Flores; Joyce and husband Jack Ridenour; Nancy and husband Rudy Rodriquez and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and friends. George was an architect at heart at an early age; he realized the importance of saving historic buildings as a reminder to future generations of the history of his beloved state and city. Of particular note, George led the effort to have River Walk designer Robert Hugman recognized with a plaque installed at river level. Other notable projects include renovation of the Majestic and Empire Theater, Bexar Courthouse, Buck Horn Hall of Horns and many schools and hospitals while employed at Marmon & Mok, Ford Powell & Carson, 3DI and Alamo Architects. In 1944, Flora and David Patino were married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in San Antonio.
