He leaves his wife of 54 years, Joyce Marie (Vaughn) Parris; three children, daughter - Sheri (Parris) Asbury and her husband, Shon Asbury, son - Nathan Lee Parris and his wife, Beth (Garrison) Parris and daughter - Tony Parris as well as six grandchildren, Shon Taylor Asbury, Cameron Douglas Asbury, Ethan Glenn Asbury, Shane Lee Parris, Mark Nicholas Parris and Bonnie Sarah Marie Parris. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on 16, 1939 to Nathan Jack Parris and Pauline (Pollard) Parris. He served in the United States Air Force from 1 of 1957 to 1 of 1960. While stationed at Bitburg Airbase - Germany, he worked with the United States Air Force Europe Sky Blazers. leaving the Air Force, he worked in several areas before establishing a life long career in aviation. On May 6, 1961, he married Joyce Marie Vaughn of Denton, Texas. The majority of their married life they lived in the Hurst, Euless, Bedford area raising their three children and watching their grandchildren grow into young adults. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers, Jerry Leon Parris and Don Bradley Parris. Visitation will be held on , 24, 2016 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and the funeral will be held on , 25, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. Obituary: Mr. Hal D. Parris, 65, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away , May 4, 2015, after a lengthy illness of severe strokes. Hal was born 19, 1949, in Baytown, Texas, and had worked in Houston several years. He semi-retired and moved to Nacogdoches, Texas. Hal enjoyed playing pool and was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish. He also found great joy in working on various projects. He grew up as a member of the Methodist church. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and attained the rank of Eagle Scout on Aug. 4, 1964. Hal was preceded in death by his parents, Jane and Ernest Parris. He leaves behind a number of cousins and friends, living throughout the state of Texas, including Nacogdoches residents Juanita Harvey, Juanita Bitsy Garrett, Sherron Thaysen, and William Harvey Jr. His family wishes to offer special thanks to the staffs of Rock Haven and Stallings Court s, Nacogdoches Medical , Accolade Hospice, and especially caregiver Lisa Claudrick. Obituary: Gladyne Parris, 92, of Grand Prairie passed away on , 22, 2015, she will be greatly missed. Gladyne was born in Commerce, Texas on 9, 1923 to William Edward and Lula Mae (Guthrie) Berry where she attended and graduated from Commerce High School. She married Robert Parris. She worked at the Texas Book Bindery for 15 years working as a binder and inspector. She was a long time member of Arcadia Park United Methodist Church in Dallas. Gladyne enjoyed her family, and was always involved. She hosted holidays at her house, and there always seemed to be fresh Chicken Stew and cornbread ready. She enjoyed spending time tending to, and admiring her flower and vegetable garden. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gladyne is survived by her children; Robert “Bobby” Parris and his wife Martha, from Platteville, Alabama, Gary Parris and his wife Sharon of Midlothian, and Kay Jenkins and her husband Tom of Grand Prairie, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert I. Parris, one brother, and three sisters and one grandson, John Wesley Parris. A visitation will be held on , 27, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Laurel Land Chapel at 6000 South R. L. Obituary: Cathy Paugh Parris passed away on , 19, 2015, after battling a series of illnesses. She was born on 9, 1964. She was 51. She is survived by her husband, Richard Parris; father, Jim Paugh; stepmother, Vicky Paugh; brothers, John, Jim, James, and JR; sister Caroline; nephews, Jake, Hunter, Tripp and TJ; niece, Mikki; aunt and uncle, Judy and Gary Rusnak and six cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Paugh. graduating from Wagner High School at Clark Air Base, Philippines, she moved back to Columbia, before eventually moving to Dallas where she spent her adult life with her loving husband, Ricky. While short in stature, she lived a big life and touched all those who knew her very deeply. She collected Barbie's and loved her dogs. Her laugh was infectious and you couldn't help but laugh when you were with her. Everyone who knew her all agreed they came away as better people because of her. Even battling sometimes debilitating illnesses throughout most of her adult life didn’t distract her from bringing joy to those around her. Her optimism and good nature was, and is, what will be her lasting legacy. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate to know her. Her family asks for privacy while mourning and celebrating her life. A Memorial Service will be held at Metrocrest on 24, 2015 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. |

She was a beautician at the flagship Neiman Marcus store in downtown Dallas for 35 years. On 25, 1949, she married her beloved husband Joe Parrino, longtime owner of the Dallas Shoe Shop, who passed away 29, 2004. She is survived by daughters Vanessa Hoffman and Trudy Moss, grandchildren Mark Martinez and Olivia Valdez, and great-grandchildren Baylee, Sydnee, Joseph, Lillie-Ann, Claire and Rosa Bella Martinez.
