Obituary: Kelly Wade Parker, 46, of Odessa, TX, went to be with his beloved Lord on 17, 2011, at Hospice, surrounded by all his loving family. He was born on 6, 1965, in Jal, NM, and married Brenda C. Llanez on 16, 1999, in Odessa, TX. were blessed with one son, Jordan Dylan Parker. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Eubank, and his grandfather, Bub Eubank (Pops). He is survived by his wife, Brenda Parker and his son, Jordan Parker, both of Odessa; his grandparents from Eunice, NM, John and Altha Parker; his parents, Larry and Melanie Parker; his brother, Kyle and Sylvia Parker and their two sons, Paul and Everette Parker; his brother, Bart Parker and daughter, Sarah Parker; his loving aunt, Debbie Freeman; his uncle, Kenneth Freeman; and his loving cousin, Mariah Coy. A special thanks to Dr. Khandelwahl, all the staff at the Cancer , and at Hospice, and Kellys very special nurse, Molly Floyd. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on , 20, 2011, at Frank W. Wilson . services will be held at Frank W. Wilson Directors in the Chapel on , 21, 2011, at 10 a.m. with Rev. J. Bradley Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at West Texas Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Hospice House, Hospice, or to St. Lukes Methodist Church. Kelly touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. Obituary: Karl McEwan Parker-husband, father, grandfather, US Navy Veteran, electrical engineer, sports fan and fisherman-died on , 19, 2015, while at home in Deer Park, TX due to a prolonged battle with cancer. He was 75. Karl was born in Wills Point, TX on 27, 1939, to Karl M. Parker and Virginia Frances Nichols-Parker. Karl is survived by his wife of 53 years Florence Jeanette Bender-Parker, daughter Lora Ann Parker-Hoke and her Husband Tom of Sammish, Washington, son J. David Parker and his wife Julie of Deridder, Louisiana, brother Donald Lloyd Parker of Rockville, Maryland, grandchildren Samantha Hoke, Amanda Hoke, Weston Clark, Camron Clark and Tegan Parker and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his Dad Karl M. Parker, Mother Virginia Frances Parker, Sister Zola Jean Parker-Hughes, brother William Nichols Parker, and sister Virginia Frances Parker-Pinkston. In of 1959 Karl enlisted in the US Navy where he was sonars-man on the U.S.S. Perry DD844, he obtained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class , and was honorable discharged in of 1963. the Navy he began working at Texas Instruments. While working days at Texas Instruments he spent 13 years in evening classes at University of Houston where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Texas Instruments, Halliburton Geophysical and two small electronics companies for 40 years before retiring. retirement Karl and Florence were gone fishing and moved to Oyster Creek, TX. living full time for 10 years in Oyster Creek, Karl and Florence moved to Deer Park, Texas not far from where they met in Pasadena. Karl was a loving husband who thought of everything, a great father and grandfather. Karl was an all-around good guy, who had a sense of humor and will be greatly missed. |
