Obituary: Jung Sun (Kim) Park passed away peacefully on , May 23 at 4:00 AM at the age of 73 in Dallas, Texas. Jung Sun was born on 11,1943 in Seoul, South Korea. She was the youngest of 10 children to her parents, Sung Jin Kim and Sung Ye Lee. She grew up enjoying the game of basketball as her favorite past time, even into early adulthood. graduating from Kyung Ki High School, she was recruited to play as a center for one of Koreas national basketball teams. Her team won various tournaments, including a Gold Medal in an international tournament. Jung Sun and her husband, Hong Kyu Park, began their marriage of over 50 years in S. Korea, and immigrated to El Paso, TX with their 3 young children in 1980. later moved to Dallas, TX to fulfill their American Dream, and opened Seoul Chinese Herbs, where she worked side by side with her husband for over 38 years. Jung Sun loved the Lord. She was a devout member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, until recent years when her health prohibited her from attending services. She prayed relentlessly in thanksgiving for Gods grace and for her family, even in her last days. Next to God, Jung Sun loved her family with her whole heart. Although there was a language barrier with her English-speaking grandchildren, each one of them knew without a shadow of doubt, that she loved each one of them. She exuberated excitement anytime one of them was in the same room with her, or even over a brief telephone conversation that her grandchildren, in most part, couldn understand. knew, and still know, how much they were loved by their grandmother. Jung Sun is survived by her loving husband, Hong Kyu Park, and 3 children: Johnny & (Susan) Park, Cindy & (Jae) Lee, and Joe & (Joanne) Park. She is also survived by her 6 adoring grandchildren: Lauren, Meghan, Matthew, Katie, Hannah, and Lindsey. A Catholic Mass funeral service will be held at St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church in Dallas, TX on , May 26 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin on , May 27 at 3 PM at Calvary Hill , followed by a burial service at 4 PM. |

Obituary: John Louis Park, Sr. passed away 18, 2012 after a brave and long fought battle with Parkinsons disease. John was born 12, 1931 in Crockett, Texas. He graduated from Edison High School in 1949 and from Texas A & M University with a civil engineering degree in 1953. college he married Katherine Elizabeth Orr, moved to Fort Belvoir, VA as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and then was stationed in Japan. two years in the army, he returned to San Antonio to work as a structural/civil engineer designing designing many roads, highways, and buildings, most notable of which was the tophouse for the Tower of the Americas. John was an active member and servant leader at Trinity Baptist Church for 54 years. He served as a Life Deacon and gave generously of his time, talents, and resources to friends and family in need. He was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, and son-in-law who will be greatly missed. He peacefully concluded his earthly journey and is now enjoying the presence of his heavenly Father. John was preceded in death by his parents Phocion S. and Lucille Joyce Park and by his loving wife of 57 years, Katherine Orr Park. He is survived by his children, John, Jr. and wife, Darleen, David and wife, Sidney, James and wife, Martha, Joyce Park Engle and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Ryan Park and wife, Virginia, John Park III, Kristi Park, Harrison Park, Dakota Park, Hannah Park, Amber Park, Katherine Engle, Caroline Engle, Sam Park, and Sawyer Park. Obituary: Jerry Dean Park passed away peacefully at home on 17, 2012 following his recovery from pneumonia. He was born on 27, 1932 in Paris, Texas, to Vivia Briggs Park and Roy Mesick Park. He attended Paris High School before entering the U.S. Navy and obtaining a G.E.D. He served in the VR21 Transport Squadron on Midway Island. For 43 years, he worked for Bell Dairy Products. retirement, he worked for Dairy Queen and Alderson Cadillac. Jerry was a former member of Redbud Lions Club and the Elks Lodge. He served as secretary for the Lubbock Restaurant Association for 15 years. He was active in the Travelers Protective Association and a member of Southcrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Robbie Sarvis of Alvin, Texas, and his second wife, Dixie Park. Jerry is survived by his daughter Peggy Barton and husband, Steve, of Wylie, Texas, and a daughter, Sara McLaughlin, of Lubbock; two grandsons, Kyle Barton and wife, Shawna, of Wylie and Sean Barton and wife, Monica, of Dallas; granddaughter Miranda McLaughlin of Oakland, California; great-granddaughter Zylia Barton of Vernon; a sister, Ivene Heinrich, and husband, Gus, of Iola, Texas, and a brother, Charles Park, and wife Dee, of Marietta, Georgia; several cousins, nieces and nephews and close friends. He is also survived by two step-daughters: Gail Lara and husband, Alcario, of Lubbock; Cindy George and husband, Kevin, of Mesquite; one step-son, Mark Howle and wife, Laura Lea, of Lubbock; six step grandchildren, Brittany and Kelsey Lara, Lexie and Austin George, Leann Goolsby and Walter DeRidder; and one step-great-granddaughter, Zoie Lara-Contreras. Memorial services will be held at Resthaven Abbey Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on , 20, 2012, with interment immediately following in the Resthaven Memorial Park. Obituary: Grace Davidson Park went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and be reunited with her husband of 65 years on 14, 2015 after a brief illness. She was surprised to be 91. As a couple, Grace and James had been members of First Baptist Church, Dallas for over 50 years. In her last years she attended Grace Bible Church, Rockwall with her surviving daughter, Linda Park Roseland, and her surviving granddaughter, Karis Atwood, the wife of Pastor Todd A. Atwood of Rockwall. She is also survived by a grandson, Pastor David Roseland of Connecticut, and 6 great-grandchildren. We will miss her presence with us, but we all have confident assurance that we will see her again where there will be no more sorrow, no more tears, no more pain, no more death, because the old things will have passed away. She wanted no funeral or visitation, so her family is having a Memorial Service to celebrate her faithfulness to our Lord Jesus Christ on , 25, 2015 at 10:00am at Grace Bible Church in Rockwall, 1251 St. Hwy 205 South, McLendon-Chisholm.
