Obituary: Martin Daniel Page (01/30/32 - 06/14/17) A true Texan was born in Girard, Texas to Martin Page and Lamora Peek. Martin served to this country as a medic in the U.S. Army during the Korean War (1950-1953). On returning to this country he entered Texas Tech University in Lubbock where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and found chemistry to be so interesting that he enrolled at Southwest Texas in San Marcos and earned a Masters Degree in Chemistry. At this time he also learned to read and speak German as much of the research had not been translated into English. Martin, then went to work for the U.S Government, Bureau of Mines. He finally became tired of living out of a suitcase and taught High School in Yellville, Ark. For a while then on to San Jacinto where he taught chemistry for 34 years, retiring in 2001. Martin has been a participant in church, civic, heritage, and philanthropic activities for many years holding memberships in; Shriners International, South Houston Lodge No. 1295, The Royal Order of Scotland, NASA Area Shrine Club, San Jacinto Shrine Club, The American Legion Post 0319, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4395, Sons of the American Revolution Paul Carrington Chapter, Texas Tech Alumni Association, National Rifle Association, and his beloved St. Pauls Anglican Church. Martin was predeceased by his parents and 2 brothers T.B. Page and Nick Page. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years the former Dona Oldham Page, 2 sons Sam Sessions (Barbara) and Frank Sessions (Melissa), 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 7 cousins, and a host of friends. |

Obituary: ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- Martha Lillian Bell Page, 87, passed away , Nov. 16, 2009, at a local hospital. : 12:30 p.m. in Moore Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Martha Lillian Bell Page was born in Dallas on 17, 1922. She was the eldest of Ernest and Josephine Bells four daughters. She was a Navy Wave veteran and met her husband, Glen B. Page of Sebastopol, Calif., while both were serving in the Navy. were married in San Francisco, Calif., in 1945. In 1950, they moved to Arlington, where they raised four children. Glen and Martha were among the founding members of Epworth United Methodist Church. Glen passed away in 1978, Martha served as president of the Widow Persons Service of Tarrant and was a member of the Navy Wave Veterans Organization. Survivors: She will be greatly missed by her children, Neysa and Dr. James Hodgson of Kennett, Mo., Glen B. Page Jr., Susan and Mike Stone and Kevin and Page, all of Arlington; grandchildren, Summer and husband, Mike, and great-grandson William, Jeffrey, Ashley, Bradford, Dylan, Lyndon and Clayton and his wife, Jennifer, and Eric; and sisters, Claire Bevill of Dallas, De and Tom Fitzpatrick of Byron, Ill., and JoAnn and Charlie Huston of Atlanta, Ga. Obituary: Marshall was born in Walnut Springs, Texas, on 29, 1920, at his grandmothers house. He grew up in Temple, Texas where his father was the local telephone manager. Just after his twelfth birthday, his father was transferred to Austin, Texas, where Marshall graduated from Junior High and High School, and received a B.A. degree in Spanish in 1942. World War II was going on, and in of that year he was inducted into the army and sent to Georgia, Louisiana, California, and Missouri. In 1944 his group was sent to England to join the signal group that was sending and receiving messages for General Eisenhower. In his group was transferred to Versailles, France, and ten months later they were moved to Frankfurt, Germany after the war was over. He arrived at his parents home in Walnut Springs, Texas on 1, 1946, where he began to teach music in the school there. In 1948 he joined the Original Texas Wranglers of Hamilton, Texas, and played with them until the end of 1952. While playing, he met his future wife, Geraldine, and they were married in Gustine, Texas on 17, 1950. Their son, Bobby, was born in Gustine on , 1953. Marshall had started working for Temco Aircraft in 1952, and the family moved to Grand Prairie. In 1955, Marshall left Temco and started working for General Portland Cement in Dallas, where he worked as an insurance clerk and then shipping clerk for 30½ years, retiring at the end of 1985. Marshall got his first guitar on his 12th birthday, and he learned to play it and joined a group playing on the radio in Austin. He also learned to play the mandolin and piano, and he played different instruments during this time. moving to Grand Prairie he started giving music lessons to a lot of young people. He still played in three bands, entertaining the seniors. Geraldine, his wife, had health problems and was transferred to a nursing home across the street from his house, where he visited her daily. In of 1995 she quit eating, and she was taken to the local hospital. When she was X-rayed, she was found to have cancer, and she died nine days later. She was buried on Marshalls seventy-fifth birthday in a cemetery in Walnut Springs, Texas. Marshall, Geraldine, and Bobby were members of the First Methodist Church in Grand Prairie, and he was still a member of the Memorial Class, as well as a member of the choir. Their son Bobby, married Carolyn in 1974 and they have two sons, Clint Louis Page born 6, 1981 and Zachary Dale Page, born 1998, they live in Waxahachie. Obituary: Loretta Jean Page, 77, of New Braunfels, passed away on , 5, 2015 at Eden Hills . She was born to Olan and Hazel Kersey in Parmer , Texas on 6, 1938. Jean grew up on a farm and attended high school in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She married Alexander Edward Page on 18, 1958 in Dallas, Texas. She later made her home in Irving, Texas where she lived for many years and was very active at the First Baptist Church and the Turf Turners Garden Club. She moved to New Braunfels in 2004 and became an active member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and Grammy. She loved traveling and was able to visit various countries in Europe and South America. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Olan and Hazel; husband, Alexander Page; and brother, Wilton Kersey. She is survived by her son, Michael A. Page and wife Martha of New Braunfels, son, Steven W. Page and wife Michele of Austin; step-son, James Page and wife Kathy of Flower Mound; sister, Sharon Atkins and husband Barry; brothers, Wesley Kersey and Wayne Kersey of Portland, OR; aunt, Ruby Prindle; sister-in-law, Jeanine Kersey; grandchildren, Alex Page and wife Rebekah, Kaitlyn Jafarian and husband Tyler, Michael A. Page, Jr., Anna M. Page, and Austin Page; great-grandchild, Waylon Alexander Page.
