Obituary: Gene Elizabeth Patrick, age 89 was born 10, 1925 in Somerville, AL and went to be with her Lord on , 9, 2014. She was a school teacher during the time her husband was serving in the WWII and later became a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roy R. Patrick. Mrs. Patrick is survived by her loving family, two daughters, Vicky Patrick (Ken Trowbridge) and Gloria Armstrong (Paul); brothers, Harold Johnson (Mary Ann) and Bruce Johnson; her Grandchildren, Tammy Fee (Gary), Sam Lowery (Jennifer), and Jonathan Armstrong (Jennifer); Great Grandchildren, Tyson, Rachel Roberts (Justin), Meaghan Lowery, Joshua Lowery, and Eli Armstrong; Great Great Grandchild; Emma Lowery. services will be held on , 12th, 2014 at Ridouts Gardendale Chapel at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Solomon, Oklahoma City, OK, Catharine (Bruce) Maddox, Montgomery, AL, Rebecca Lynn (Gerald) Miller, Midwest City, OK, Ben W. (Kathy) Patrick, Mobile, AL, Susan (Jefferey) Blankenship, Birmingham, AL, and Nancy (David) Doolittle, Mobile, AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Marnie White, George Patrick, Melissa, Hudson, Darren Solomon, Brent Solomon, Ami Evans, Natalie Pirnie, Brad Maddox, Allison Maddox, Sherra Belk, Christopher Miller, Jennifer Lewis, Brian Patrick, Shannon Blankenship, Jay Blankenship, Carlie Boone, Courtney Breaux, Mary Kate Doolittle, Sidney Doolittle and nineteen great grandchildren, who all dearly love their Memaw. She is also survived by her brothers Hubert and Joe Harold Nall and her sisters Flores Kozan, Alice Franzone, Elsie Simoneaux. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Obituary: Annie Mae Patrick, 95, of Chickasaw entered into rest , 22, 2015 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be , 25, 2015 at Mobile Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm. Rev. Ed Connick will officiate. Mrs. Patrick was born in the Bostic Community near Gordo, AL on 18, 1920. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at Brookley Air Force Base. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Grover Patrick. Mrs. Patrick is survived by three children, Gary Lamar Patrick of Georgia, George Michael Patrick (Lu Ann) of Chickasaw, and Theresa Sharon Patrick Scherrer (Richard) of Montgomery, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Obituary: Thomas Herman Patnode, age 88, passed away on 13, 2015, in Decatur, Alabama. He was cremated under the direction of Roselawn of Decatur. Tom Patnode was born 22, 1926 in Schenectady, New York, to Linus Victor Patnode and Regina Mary Caron Patnode. The youngest of three children, he grew up in Schenectady, New York, and graduated high school at Mont Pleasant High School in 1944. Patnode entered the US Army at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 7, 1945 and was honorably discharged on 18, 1946 with the rank of Sergeant. He was an instructor at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he taught classes on the 75, 76, and 90 millimeter guns and supervised trainees in the use of the weapons in field exercises. Thomas Patnode received a Bachelor of Science on 8, 1953, from New York State for Teachers at Buffalo, New York. His Master of Arts degree was conferred on 18, 1957, from Columbia University in the city of New York. In 1983 Tom retired as an art teacher from the New Jersey school system and moved from Boonton, New Jersey to Inglis, Florida where he lived until 2014 when he moved to Morningside Assisted Living in Decatur, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard Ambrose Patnode; his sister, Dorothy Joan Patnode Sutton; his brother-in-law, Walter Markancel Sutton; and his nephew, Jeffrey David Walter Sutton. Survivors include nieces and nephews; Caron (Brian) Widgren, Mary (Terry) Rutherford, Carl (Jan) Sutton, Billy Sutton, Bobbie (Frank) Talbert and a long list of great nieces and nephews. |
