Obituary: Dorothy Ann Piretti, 72, of Cordova passed away , 24, 2017. She was born 4, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late, William and Dorothy Teague of Whiteville, Tennessee. Dot was a graduate of Overton High School and the University of Memphis and retired from the accounting department at APL. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She married Dennis Johnson and had three sons, Timothy Ryan, Brian Kevin and Keith Brandon. She loved each of her sons dearly and raised them as a single mother to the best of her abilities, never missing a game, a performance, or special occasion. She married Charles Piretti later in her life, who preceded her in death. She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Teague; and is survived by her sons, Tim Johnson (Liz) of Memphis, Brian Johnson (Teresa) of Germantown and Keith Johnson (Mandi) of Germantown; her grandchildren, who meant the world to her, Spencer Johnson, Campbell Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Julia Johnson, James Johnson and Olivia Johnson; sister-in- law, Rita Teague of Richland, Texas, and her beloved dog, Tina. The family is grateful for the care and friendship of Meg Tarkington and the countless friends who provided love and support to Dot. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m., , 28, 2017 at Bellevue Baptist Church-Pollard Chapel, 2000 Appling Road, Cordova, Tennessee, with the interment to follow at Memphis and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Obituary: Rowena (Rene) Bryan Pippin, 85, of East Ridge, died , 28, 2010 in a local health care facility. Mrs. Pippin was a native of Trion, GA the daughter of the late John Mack and Martha Ann Brooks Bryan, and was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lance L. Pippin, two brothers and two sisters. She was a retired dental assistant having worked many years for Dr. Bruce Backer DDS and was a faithful and active member of East Ridge Church of Christ for over 60 years. Surviving are her two sons and their wives; Terry and Paula Pippin of Sweetwater, TN and Joel and Edith Pippin of Hixson; Grandchildren; Jason, Jeff, Michael, Matthew, Eric, Alan, and Amanda; Great-Grandchildren, Conner and Cameron; brother, Kenneth Bryan of Brooksville, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on from 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on at the funeral home. Services will be on at 3 PM at the funeral home with Minister Charles Cochran officiating. Private burial services will be held at Chattanooga National . Mr. Pippin was born on 12, 1942 in Sullivan , Tennessee, the son of the late Rex Pippin and Maxie Louise Sexton Pippin. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, was a carpenter having worked with TVA, an avid reader, and an active participant in shooting sports. Mr. Pippin was a member of the International Defensive Pistol Association where he achieved a Master Class Rank. In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by one son, Billy Pippin; brothers, Paul Pippin and Joe Pippin; and uncles Vernoy Sexton, Elmer Sexton, and Robert Sexton. Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Kodak and husband Jesse; two sons, Tim Pippin and wife Janine, and Bobby Pippin; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Hunter and Libby Pippin, Cody, Michael, and Brandon Fugate, and Ashley Kodak; former spouse, Dottie Pippin; uncle, Billy Sexton and wife Bessie Lou; aunt Rubye Pennington; nephews, Joey Pippin and Justin Pippin; nieces, Angie Spitler and Lori Graham; and several cousins and special friends.
