Obituary: Prestel, Elmer J., age 88, beloved husband and father, passed away , 15, 2016. Mr. Prestel served as a Fireman First Class in the United States Navy during WWII; He was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Marian Council and the American Legion. Elmer served as General Manager of United Toolcraft. He was Co-owner of Press-Rite Tool and Vice President/Co-owner of Norwood Tool , along with Ken Hemmelgarn. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Prestel; son, Bob Prestel; infant daughter, Theresa Prestel; sons-in-law, Lenny Paul and Rick Nelson and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geraldine Prestel; daughters, Cindy (Jim) Sharp, Vicky (Steve) Beck, Debbie Nelson and Becky Paul; son, Jeff Prestel; sister, Rita Ampula; daughter-in-law, Patty Prestel; son-in-law, Tom Graham; eighteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tobias , 5471 Far Hills Ave., and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Schmidt celebrant. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary .
