Obituary: CANFIELD- Gertrude Trudy (Hadden) Partlow, 88, passed away peacefully morning, 23, 2015 at the Inn at Ironwood. She was born on 9, 1926 in Wrens, GA, daughter to the late Herbert A. Hadden and Betty Nett Neal. Trudy was married to George W Partlow Sr. in 1945 and moved to Youngstown that year during her husbands service in World War II. She worked as a waitress at Ravers Restaurant in downtown Youngstown and was very proud of her many years there. Trudy retired to Frostproof, FL, just recently returning to Youngstown in 1995. Trudy was a member of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed playing in the Wedgewood Golden Girls Bowling League, but what she will be remembered most for was her love for her family. Trudy took extraordinary care of her home, husband, and family and her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was deep and abiding. Left to celebrate Trudys memory are her children, Patricia A. Hively, George W. Partlow Jr., Mary Jean (Richard A.) Mitchell, and Charles D. (Mary F. Desjeans) Partlow; her grandchildren, Mark R. Hively, Michelle Hively Rushing, Wendy C. Butler, Shannin D. Molody, Robert J. Craciun, and Matthew A. Partlow; her great-granddaughters, Randi Rushing, Riley Rushing, Claire Hively, Amelia Hively, Brooke Brady, Elyssa Molody, and Cailin Mitchell; and her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Trudy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, George W. Partlow Sr., and her two brothers, Joe Neal Hadden Sr. and Herbert A. Hadden. The family will receive friends from 5-6PM on , 28 at Lane Family s, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave. A memorial service will follow at 6PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. |
