Obituary: Martha T. Psarras, 90, of Apex passed away on 2, 2017 in Cary. She was born 21, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois the the daughter of the late Henry Koplewski and Michalina (Samoska) Koplewski. Martha graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. degree in Political Science. She practiced as an occupational therapist at Menningers Clinic in Topeka, KS and also worked abroad in England and Switzerland. Martha had a love for traveling, enjoying trips overseas and within the United States. She would travel throughout the U.S. to study, learn and practice her painting. Martha was docent at the Harn Museum in Gainesville, FL. Many of her interests included yoga, meditation, poetry, reading, documentaries, writing and her family. She had a thirst for knowledge. The quote she wrote in her 1944 Dowagiac Central High School 50 year class reunion book was "Travel has been a joy in my life, from Canada to Australia." Martha lived in Gainesville, FL for over 30 years and moved to NC in 2005 to be closer to her family. Martha was predeceased by her brothers: Henry Koplewski Jr., and Albert Koplewski; husband , Theodore Psarras. She is survived by her daughter Elaine Hagwood, and her husband Allen Hagwood, granddaughter, Brooke Hagwood, all from N.C. and Allie Hagwood, granddaughter, and Kaylee Kraft, great-granddaughter, both from Montana. A memorial service will be held at 11 am 7, 2017 at Cambridge Village 10000 Cambridge Village Loop, Apex NC 27502. |

Obituary: Bethany Helen Przestrzelski, 53, of Durham, passed away , 18, 2017 at her home in Durham. Bethany was born May 23, 1964 in Ilion, NY. She was a graduate of Oneonta High School in Oneonta, NY and attended Utica School of Commerce in Utica, NY. Bethany was employed with Curtis Media Group for over 10 years. Obituary: Heather Benton Przasnyski of 866 Mocksville Highway Statesville, died unexpectedly Dec. 14, 2010. She was 36. She was born in Iredell on Sept. 9, 1974, to the late William Douglas Benton and Cynthia Ann Mendaloff Benton who survives. Also surviving are her two loving sons Kayden Robert Przasnyski, 6 and Cole Alexander Przasnyski, 4; two brothers, Michael Benton Mendaloff of Statesville, and Terry M. Benton (Cassey) of Taylorsville; a paternal grandmother, Blanche Brookshire Benton of Troutman; three aunts, Alexis Mendaloff Sensabaugh of Vinton, Va., Kay Benton Shook of Taylorsville, and Bonnie Cline Ward of Statesville; three uncles , Alexander Mendaloff III, Warren Benton, both of Statesville, and Blake Benton of Atlanta, Ga.; a grandmother, Frances Miller Mendaloff of Statesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alexander Mendaloff Jr., Edna Pauline Josey Mendaloff, and her paternal grandfather John Robert Benton. She was employed by Shear Design and was an accomplished hair dresser and cosmetologist. She had an extensive clientele and was sought after for her talents as a beauty consultant. She enjoyed hunting, the beach, reading, her pets and travelling. Heather will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her passing leaves a hole in the world and in the lives of her children. A trust for the benefit of Kayden and Cole has been established. Obituary: Mrs. Virginia Cowan Pryzgoda, 70, a resident of Jamestown and Bullock, NC, passed away on 6, 2014 at the Duke University Medical . Virginia was born May 25, 1944 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of Richard and Rose Mary ODonnell Cowan. On 11, 1964 at 11am she was married to Alan Chester Pryzgoda. Surviving in addition to her husband Alan are her daughter, Kristine Elise Pryzgoda of Raleigh; son, Craig Alan Pryzgoda and wife Kim of Fayetteville; sister, Leona Mundy and husband Steve of Beacon, NY; brother, John Cowan of Ware, NH and grandchildren, Alyssa and Will Pryzgoda. Virginia attended Hunter School, Fordham University and was in the class of 1989 at Greensboro . She was a longtime member of the Cedarwood Garden Club and the Kinderton Womens Club. She attended St. Catherines Roman Catholic Church in Clarksville, Virginia and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point. Virginia was active in many charities and recently devoted her time to the Wounded Veterans, Island Creek Project. Virginia will be missed dearly by our family and friends, of which she had many. Visitation will be held on , 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27407. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was a native of Johnston and the daughter of the late Hunter H. Johnson and the late Mabel Lee Johnson.
