Obituary: Hilton C. Pittman, Jr., age 64 died , May 26, 2011 at University of North Carolina Medical in Chapel Hill, N. C. Services for Mr. Pittman will be , May 31, 2011 at six oclock in the evening at McPeters Directors Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. A family visitation will follow the service until eight p. m.. Burial will be in the Henry . Mr. Pittman, a native of Corinth was the son of the late Hilton C. Pittman, Sr. and Orbie Camp Pittman. He was a 1964 graduate of Corinth High School where he was a member of the Corinth Warriors football team. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University where he continued playing football with honors. Mr. Pittman served in the U.S. Army National Guard and then began his business career in the state of Texas, Oakridge, TN and Virginia. He served on the Republican National Trust Committee and is presently owner of the Blue Ridge Mining in West Virginia. Mr. Pittman was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Patricia Reed Pittman of Cary, N. C. A son, Hilton C. Pittman III (Lauren) and A daughter, Jenna Bracone (Roberto) both of Cary, N. C. A brother, Thomas Michael Pittman, Sr. (Teresa) of Corinth His nephews, Thomas Michael Pittman, Jr., Tyler Pittman and David Camp Pittman, A niece, Meredith Pittman and A brother-in-law, Bob Reed (Janet) of Nashville, TN Mr. Pittman is preceded in death by a brother John David Pittman Pallbearers: Tommy Irwin, J. B. Obituary: Hettie Marie Pittman, 85 passed away , 9, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical . Hettie was born in Yadkin, , on 16, 1929 a daughter to the late Rupert Gibson Watford and the late Bessie Adams Watford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Pittman of 57 years, three son-in-laws, Bill Summey and H.Z. Red Jackson both married to Vicki, and W. Grant Young married to Marty. She was of the Baptist faith and worked for Forsyth Schools and retired after 24 plus years of service. Hettie loved her family and had a love for animals and her pets. She was a dedicated and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great- great grandmother. She always encouraged her family to have a large family and she was proud to say that she went back to school and received her GED when she was in her 50s. She is survived by three daughters, Darlene Cantrell and husband, Garry of Winston-Salem, grandson, Gary Wayne Cantrell and wife, Marla, great granddaughter, Brooke Cantrell, great grandson, Travis Cantrell and wife, Claire, and great greatgrandson Austin Cantrell, step grandson Tyler Funk, granddaughter, Christy Whicker and husband, Rodney, great granddaughter, Tiffani Talley and great greatgranddaughter, Raelynn Martin, and great granddaughter Courtney Talley; Vicki Summey Jackson and friend, Charles Slick Poteat of Lewisville, granddaughter, Charlotte Dorn and husband, Gregg Dorn great granddaughter, Grayce Dorn, granddaughter, Crystal Joyner, greatgrandson, Wayland Joyner, Weston Joyner, and great granddaughter, Sadie Joyner, and Marty Young of Walnut Cove and two grandsons, Zachary and Matthew Young; one son, Wayne Pittman of Winston-Salem, grandson, Pastor, John Pittman and wife, Mylia, great granddaughter, Madyson Pittman, great grandson Noah Pittman, great granddaughter, Marlee Pittman ; granddaughter, Stephanie Pittman and fiancé, Tyler McCormick. |

Obituary: Mr. Harvey Guy Pittman, Jr. age 82 of Nashville passed away peacefully at his home on 8, 2014. He was born on 13, 1931 to Mary Leona and Harvey Guy Pittman, Sr. in Rocky Mount, NC. He graduated from Nashville High School in 1949. He entered the US Army in 1952 during the Korean War. He completed training as a Medic at Fort Hood Texas. He was a charter member of Birchwood Country Club, and also a Charter Member of North Nashville Ruritan Club. During his lifetime, he was a farmer, storerunner, licensed insurance salesman, and real estate broker. He loved to spend time with his family, hunting, fishing, playing ping-pong, pool, and golf. He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Lennie Sue McLaurin Pittman and five sisters Pearl Womble, Mildred McLemore, Ellis Shaffer, Mary Woodbury, and Peggy Wrenn. He leaves to cherish his memory his granddaughter, Jamie Staton Valentine (husband Michael), grandsons Travis Smith (wife Chynna) and Brad Smith, stepchildren Laura Smith (husband Jack), Marilyn Smith (husband Bob), Richard Wynne, and several nieces and nephews. |
