Obituary: William Talmadge Patton, Jr., age 74, of Raleigh, passed away at his residence on 7, 2016. He was born 29, 1941 in Raleigh, a son of the late William, Sr. and Larue (Woodard) Patton. William graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School in 1959. He was a member of Pilot Baptist Church. William worked for Rockwell International as a tool fabricator. He was an avid fisherman and was happiest on the water. His greatest joy was spending time around family. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Joyce Patton. William leaves behind his daughter Linda (Patton) Fisher and her husband Tommy, grandchildren: Stephen Browde and his wife Mary Beth, Sandy Brouse and her husband Jim, Ara Fisher, Al Fisher, and Thomas Fisher; and two great grandchildren, Ava Browde and Jimmy Brouse. A time of visitation will be held , 11, 2016 from 4-6 pm at Brown-Wynne , 300 Saint Mary's St. Raleigh, NC 27605. |

Obituary: Sylvia Marie Patton, 69, of Nebo, passed away, , 25, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Patton was born in Burke , North Carolina on May 18, 1945, to Georgia Floretta Ledford and the late Nat Thomas Jones. She was married to the late Fermon Patton, who preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Patton was a rest home administrator at McAlpine in Morganton, where she retired after many years of service. She was a member of Pinnacle United Methodist Church in Nebo and was very family oriented. She enjoyed crafts and gardening. She was known for dedicating many hours to her flower beds. Mrs. Patton was full of love and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Carswell; a brother, Elmore Jones; two sisters, Gertrude Jones and Dude Stamey. Survivors include her mother, Georgia Baldwin of Morganton; a son, Brian Edwards of Nebo; three daughters, Debbie Lambert and husband Joe of Nebo, Donna Whittington of Nebo, and Sheila Edwards of High Point; three sisters, Rosalie Davis and husband Barry of Morganton, Joanne Miller and husband Larry of Georgia, and Ruth Causby and husband Nolin of Morganton; two brothers, Claude Jones and his wife of Tennessee and Olin Jones and wife Helen of Morganton; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., , 29, 2014 at Pinnacle United Methodist Church in Nebo with Pastor Ronnie Gentry officiating and Pastor Olin Jones assisting. Interment will follow at the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the Church. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Burke Hospice and Palliative for all their dedication and love during Mrs. Pattons time of need. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.kirkseyfhmarion.com.
