Obituary: Jacqueline Broadwell Pate (Jackie), 71, passed away on , 25, 2014, at Moses Cone Hospital. Jackie was born on 24, 1942 in New Bern, NC, the daughter of Lonnie P. and Louise Freeman Broadwell. She graduated from Greensboro High School in 1960 and was employed with the Loman Garrett for 42 years. She was a loving wife, step mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, William A. Pate Jr.; step son, Tony Pate and wife Penny of Moyock, NC; sister, Anne B. Whitt and husband Bill of Southport, NC; brothers, Larry R. Broadwell and wife Brenda W. of Lugoff, SC and Boyce P. Broadwell and wife Ginger M. of Oak Island, NC; grandchildren, Madison and Clay Pate and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on , 1:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till service time at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408. |

Obituary: Eleanor Louise Pate, 81, of Lenoir, passed away , 9, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Mrs. Pate was born in Sumter City, South Carolina to the late John and Elizabeth Kolb Windham. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was also a member of The Relief Society Organization, where she served as a secretary, and a faithful Visiting Teacher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Oliver Pate Sr. of the home; sons, James Oliver Pate Jr. and wife Debbie of Farmington, New Hampshire, Tommy Austin Pate of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Raymond Arnold Pate and wife Lori of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters, Marilyn Inez Pollarine and husband Wayne of Boyertown, Pennsylvania, Mara Lee German of Lenoir, and Catherine Louise Barnett and husband Shane of Lenoir; brother, Michael Ryles and wife Jan of Florida; sister, Cathy Shirer and husband Olin of Manning, South Carolina; grandchildren, Ian (Jill) Pollarine , Alison (Chris) Chase, Mary Pate, Jill Coffey, Matthew (Rachel) Nadeau, Elijah Pate, Sarah(Frankie) Holt, Evan Pate, Cannedy Pate, Joshua (Chrystal) Pate, Aaron Pate, Brianna Barnett and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held , 14, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Steve Connor, Patriarch James Kirby and Elder Joshua Pate officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Ian Pollarine, Matthew Nadeau, Joshua Pate, Aaron Pate, Elijah Pate, Austin Nadeau and Shane Barnett.
