She is survived by her husband, Frank Purcio; children, Robin Purcio, Rick (Melanie) Purcio & Bob (Dawn) Purcio; grandchildren, Dan Purcio, Adam (Lindsay Pappert) Bradstreet, Kyle (Amanda Durham) Bradstreet, Brianna Purcio, Jason & Charlie Sylvester; brothers, Richard (Elaine) Mainwaring & Jerry (Sandy) Mainwaring; sister-in-law, Janice Mainwaring; brothers-in-law, Bob Damiano & Richard Vitale; nieces & nephews, Jodi (Anthony) Brunner, Rich (Sandi) Mainwaring, Lorie Massey, David Mainwaring & Randy Mainwaring; several great-nieces & great-nephews; many loving family in Pennsylvania & Rochester. s visitation will be held 4-7 on at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her memorial service will be celebrated following visitation at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimers Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd, Rochester NY 14620 in s memory. was born on 14, 1938 in Rochester, NY. She attended Charlotte High school and participated on their swim team. During her adult years, she worked at Kodak but eventually quit to raise her children and became and full time wife and mother. has been married to her husband Frank for 53 years. moved into their family home in 1970 and still live there today. was a crafty person who enjoyed cross-stitching, quilting, gardening and ceramics. She also bowled for Rockcastle Florists bowling team. Some of s favorite music was Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. loved shrimp, spaghetti and put Franks Red Hot Sauce on everything she ate. She was also known for making excellent spaghetti sauce and lasagna. Throughout her life, had a happy disposition and was very passionate about her beliefs. will be dearly missed by many family and friends and lovingly remembered. Purcio - Eulogy Our mom... a loving wife and dedicated and caring mom. She quit Kodak when I was born and dedicated her whole life to raising us kids, sometimes 3 kids, sometimes 4. In the early years, Dad was a traditional Italian husband. - So being his wife was a tough job and she did it for 53 years. - She went with Dad to all his Kodak Fast Pitch tournaments across the country. - And by the way, Dad is being inducted into the Fast Pitch Hall of Fame this Over the years, she and Dad were at almost every sporting event we had. - I was on the Swim team and Synchronized Swim Team so my meets weren as exciting as Ricks track meets or Bobs pole vaulting and track meets. Can you imagine dad watching a synchronized swim meet ?! Come on.. Really ?? Well, they both did !!! As Rick put his cross country jersey in her casket on , he said Shes part of the team. - Powerful statement and how true that was !!!! Her life WAS her family. - These past few years have been pretty tough on my mom, my dad and the family. - There have been many good times, many, very trying times, many differences of opinions and sometimes all out shouting matches. - Dad didn deserve that and Mom raised us better than that. - From a very young age, she instilled in us to never fight or argue because when her and dad were gone, we are all we have, we are still family. - I hope with Moms death, and open communication, the family will begin to mend. - Mom wouldve wanted that. Memories of my mom: • Wheres my husband wheres Frank, no, the other Frank, where are my people. • When we were young, she put margarine on our sandwiches no matter what kind of sandwich she made us !! EEUUUUUU. • She always made us wear snow pants even when there was only an inch of snow. When it was raining, she made us wear those awful, red rubbers to school. I used to cut through the Haackes back yard and hide them in the bushes on the way to school. On the way home, I put them back on so shed never know. • We didn have a lot of money when we were young, so we had our fill of spam with melted cheese for dinner when dad was working • Then there were minced bologna and pickle sandwiches ... Remember the cast iron hand grinder she used to clamp to the kitchen table or ping pong table and feed bologna and pickles through it ??? • Bob will probably duck if you raise a plate above his head to put it away. Mom got so mad at him one day, she had a plate in her hand and just tapped it on his head. Well to his and her surprise, it broke. • She was an awesome cook. Dad is a meat, potatoes and bread kind of guy. When it was 90 degrees out shed be in the kitchen with either had a pot of sauce on the stove or a pot roast in the oven. We didn have central air in those days. Heck, we didn even have color tvs back then. • And she knew how to make sauce. The first time I made it with her, I had my paper and pencil ready. Little did I know, it was a pinch of this, sprinkle of that until it covered the top, a couple shakes of this, add raw meatballs and sausage and cook it all day. • Wooden spoons - I swear these things were strategically placed around the house. Wed do something bad and a wooden spoon would magically appear out of nowhere. We didn know Dad was right behind her breaking them in half. • She loved her hot tea with lemon, then it was instant coffee and finally lemonade.
