Obituary: Sandra Kay Parker, age 71, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on 16, 2015 at home in the presence of her loving family. She was born in Battle Creek on 19, 1944, the loving daughter of James M. and Velma L. (Willison) Lick, attended Wilson Elementary & Battle Creek Central High School, and lived in Battle Creek her entire life. Sandra worked as a bartender & cook at the Alamo, Bos Bar, Barneys Bar and Ruggos. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends and loved going to the casino with her children. Sandra is survived by the father of her children, Robert L. Parker; a daughter, Connie L. Parker; two sons, Robert J. Parker, and Michael P. (Linda) Parker; her sisters, Mary A. Lick and Diane S. Ramon; her brother, Steven J. Lick; her grandchildren, Kenneth D. LeBeau, Brandis L. (LeBeau) Huffman, Claire S. LeBeau, Miranda D. Richardson, Alecia M. Richardson , Kaylee Parker, Christopher Wilson, Zack Parker, and Phillip D. Jones; 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly. Sandra also had a special bond with her great-nephew, Ruben J. Ramon. She was sadly preceded in death by her parents. Graveside Services to celebrate Sandras life will be held 1:00 p.m., , 3, 2015 at Bedford . Family and friends will continue the celebration of her life with a memorial dinner immediately following the graveside service at 11416 Stagecoach Dr., Dowling, MI 49050. Obituary: Sandra Ann Parker, age 68 of Warren, died , 2, 2015 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb in Warren. She was born 30, 1947 in Detroit, daughter of the late Eugene and the late Delores (nee: Kries) Hudo. Though Sandra didn officially work in their capacity, she did share a unique and genuine expertise in a couple fields that kept her quite busy,...the first of which was Event Planner. Since she loved to go on cruises and enjoyed traveling memories of the many places she had visited throughout her life, it made perfect sense that Sandras qualifications would be prime for assisting others with their travel planning. She helped many groups create some special memories for themselves, just as she had come to know. The other hat she wore was that of Food Critic. Together with her beloved Richard, Sandra loved eating out and exploring the many dining opportunities both local and afar,...then sharing her honest critique of the experience. Over the years, it truly became an entertaining aspect of the many wonderful meals they shared together. Like many women, Sandra was also smitten by the shopping bug. She loved to shop and found it to be the perfect pleasure escape from the stresses of day-to-day demands,...and simply because it was fun! And most of the time, Richard was by her side here as well,...but merely as her driver. Quite often, the correlation to the iconic movie was made when their shopping ventures were referred to as Driving Miss Sandy. It always stirred a chuckle or two. If you knew Sandra, then it was no surprise how much pride she took in her house. From its design appeal, to its cleanliness and upkeep, to the warmth in emanated, there was no mistaking the care she held for her home,...nor the extension it was of her own beauty. She loved having people over and entertaining on occasion, so it was important to Sandra that her home be inviting to the eye. And when she wasn visiting with someone in her home, chances are youd probably find her chatting with them on the phone. Sandras friends were very special to her, so she regularly kept in touch with them. Sandra was an extremely generous person who loved reaching out to others, and was always there when someone was in need. She touched a multitude of hearts and souls throughout her journey in life, and leaves an impact on each of them for the care and love she poured out so richly. And it wasn just toward the two-legged loved ones she knew. No,...there was another charmer that stole her heart and kept her young,...her delightfully cute Maltese & Poodle mix, Abby. Though she was a dog, Abby provided a special and unique love as if she was Sandras child. Abby will surely miss her Mama,...as will all the wonderful souls in life who called her wife, friend, or aunt. May she rest in peace. Sandra was the beloved wife of Richard. Dearest sister of the late Ronnie Hudo, and also survived by adopted sister, Bertha (Elroy) Mullett. She leaves many loving extended family members & friends. A Memorial Visitation for Sandra will be held , 8th from 2-5pm, with a 5pm Memorial Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons , 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren.
