Obituary: Frank Porbeck, Jr., of Little Rock, passed away on 22, 2015 at the age of 92. He was born on 04, 1922 to the late Frank and Clara Porbeck. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Irene Shudy Porbeck. Frank was a loving, charitable man who was a 1940 graduate and class president of Catholic High School. He received a degree from Draughans Business and went on to take over as the owner/operator of Porbeck Printing , which was founded by his parents. He demonstrated the highest level of honesty and integrity while providing for his family and others. He was married on 23, 1949 to Irene Shudy in a unique double wedding ceremony with Irene's sister Helen and Eugene Fox. That wedding started a lifelong, special bond between the Porbeck and the Fox families. He retired in 1984 from the printing business but certainly not from life. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church for over 50 years and served as an usher for many of those. He volunteered at Saint Vincent's Hospital where he logged 4,700 hours. He also volunteered at Rebsamen Golf Course and played golf with the 'DP club' golf group. He loved to golf, fish at area lakes, most notably Lake Conway, and enjoyed hunting at the family farm in Hazen, Ar. Most importantly, he enjoyed doing all these things with his family. He was a great family man who loved being with his 3 sons and their wives, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memories his son Frank III and his wife, Paula; granddaughter Carole, her husband, Patrick Wilson and their sons, Tucker and Max; granddaughter Kelley and her husband, Greg Ramer and their son, Myles; Rob and his wife, Sue; grandson Brian, his wife Meredith and their three children Payton, Parker, and Patterson; grandson Nathan and his fiancé, Kristin Silvestri; Alan and his wife Glennda; grandson David and his wife Faye; and grandson Jason, his wife Samantha and their 2 sons Garrett and Mason. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 26, 2015 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, Tyler and I Streets, Little Rock. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111. Obituary: Kenneth Dale Poppe, 70, of Van Buren, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away , 16, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born 28, 1944 in Olney, IL to the late Kenneth and Virginia Poppe. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL earning his Bachelors in Agricultural Economics. He was in pharmaceutical sales, and real estate, and was a member of Saint Patricks Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, CO and the Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and served in military intelligence in Washington DC during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dody Jones. He is survived by his wife, Alta Poppe of the home; and two children, Jay Poppe and wife Cassandra of Muldrow, and Kathy Watson and husband Lee of Fort Smith; a sister, Janet Narragon and husband Marvin of Colorado Springs; and eight grandchildren; and eight grandchildren; Ryan, Virginia, Shannon, Collin, Fulton, Marialina Poppe, Zane and Pierce Watson. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. , 19, 2014 at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren, with interment to follow at noon at the Fort Smith National , under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma of Van Buren, AR. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Poppe, Ryan Poppe, Collin Poppe, Lee Watson, Zane Watson, and Marvin Narragon. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time, , 19, 2014, at Heritage United Methodist Church, 1604 Pointer Trail, Van Buren.
