Obituary: Ruby Juanita Pool, 93, of Cabot, passed away , 25, 2014. She was born 26, 1921 to Johnny Buford Wilson Sr. and Cora Slayton. She was a member of The Higginson First Baptist Church. She loved sewing, cooking, and gardening, as well as taking care of children. She was a member of Demonstration for over 50 years. Ruby is survived by one son, Charles Pool (Nancy) of Higginson; and one brother, Jack Wilson, of Hot Springs; four grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Obituary: Nancy Ann Pool, of Higginson, passed away peaceably at her home on , 01, 2016. She was born 19, 1937 in Biscoe, Arkansas to the late John and Frances (Avants) Gurley. Nancy loved to grow flowers. She was also a collector of antique glass, matchboxes, purses, and sapphires. She was a very strong woman; strong willed, and strong hearted. Nancy was a very loving and caring person. There were several years where her and her husband, Charles housed the foreign exchange students from Harding University, treating them just like her own. She cherished her family. She loved to have the family get together for Christmas and New Years parties. Nancy treasured her grandchildren and they treasured her. She loved keeping them and spending time with them. She was a loving wife for 61 years; a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Charles Pool of Higginson; one son, Chuck Pool (Carol) of Searcy; three daughters, Frances Cherry (Eric) of Higginson, Stephanie Davis (Paul) of Higginson, and Melanie Pool of a, Arkansas; one brother, Charles Gayon Gurley (Sue) of Burlington, North Carolina; two sisters, Lavonia Miller (Hershel) of Millington, Tennessee, and Sherry Harden (Louis) of DeValls Bluff, Arkansas; six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. , 4th at Searcy McEuen . services will be held at 10:00 a.m. , 5th at Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at Kensett . Obituary: DeWitt - John Lester Pool, age 77, of DeWitt died , 6, 2016. He was born 21, 1938 in DeWitt to Riley Green and Dona Stephens Pool who preceded him in death. Also preceding him were his brother, Riley Poole and sisters: Dorothy Randolph, Addie Pinkerton and Bobbie Hunt. He was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church, leading the music program and worked at Munroe Shoe Factory for 39 years. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Survivors include his wife, Betty Oswalt Pool, son, Glen Pool and his wife Leigh Ann of Austin; grandchildren: Jamie McSpaddin (Michael), Aaron Caldwell and Bryan Covington (Ashley) and seven great grandchildren along with a host of family and friends. services will be 10:00 AM , 10th at Eastside Baptist Church with burial at DeWitt by Essex .
