Obituary: Charlotte Elaine (Reed) Plaisance, 73, of Dudley, Massachusetts, died , May 12, 2017 after a long illness, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of E. Warren and Helen (Grenon) Reed of Shrewsbury, MA. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1962, and was a member of Hillcrest Worship of Auburn, MA. She worked at New England Power, The Fair Co., Inc. and Michaels Stores, Inc. Her husband, Paul Allen Plaisance, predeceased her in 2003. She leaves her son, Joseph Plaisance and his partner, Michael Pillsbury of Rutland, her daughters Dawn Rosa, wife of Frankie Rosa, and Paula Gottlich of Webster, Lee Ann Redmond, wife of Derek Redmond, Sr., Shayanne Plaisance and Nicole Kilderry, wife of Kevin Kilderry of Dudley and Suzette Patenaude of Worcester, and her grandchildren Jerica,Jon-Paul, Emily, Paul, Brittany, Erin, Cadence, Derek, Sarah, Christopher, Nathan and Gabrielle, and her great grandson, Elijah. She is also survived by her sister, Pauline Langley of Barre, MA, her Brother, Lee Reed of Shrewsbury, her sister-in-law, Elaine Pinky Reed, her brother-in-law, Wayne Plaisance of Worcester and her sister-in-law, Gail (Plaisance) Brodrick of Damascus, MD and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was an avid knitter, crocheter and sewist, with many people receiving the fruits of her labors. She was a devoted wife and mother, to her husband and to both her children and grandchildren, and the many children that she adopted over the years. Her home was home to many others, and her generosity and sense of humor made her home the center of the neighborhood. Visiting hours will be held on , May 19 from 5-8 pm at CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.. There will be a Celebration of Life at Hillcrest Worship Church. Burial will be held privately. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Obituary: Bruce Wayne Placido, age 62, of Fall River, passed away , 12, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Connie R. (Thompson) Placido to whom he has been married for the past 39 years. Born in Malden, a son of the late Charles and Mary (Spencer) Placido, he spent his youth in Malden and had been a resident of Fall River since 1993. A twenty year career Veteran of the United States Navy he served on numerous aircraft carriers before retiring in 1992. He also served as a United States Merchant Marines from 2004 to 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends camping, singing, and playing the guitar and harmonica. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter: Catherine Placido of Fall River, one brother: Thomas Placido of Freemont, NH, two sisters; Kathleen Dioro of Melrose, MA, Rosemary Graffam of Malden, MA, and many nieces and nephews. He was the best friend, pal, and twin forever of his beloved grandson Jeovani Wayne Davis with whom he shared many popsicles, games of soccer, and cartoons in matching pajamas. He was also the brother of the late Charles, Joyce, and Eileen Placido. His will be held on , 16, 2015 at 10:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Mass at 11:00AM in St. Michaels Church, 189 Essex St., Fall River. Visiting hours from 5:30 to 7:30PM. Burial in the Massachusetts National at Bourne at 1:45PM. |
