Obituary: Milford- Roger G. Papelian, 87, of Milford passed away , 7, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Jean B. (Kelly) Papelian. Roger was born 29, 1928 in Milford, MA, the son of the late Andon and Mary (Hadidian) Papelian. Roger graduated from Milford High School class of 1945, New England Aircraft School in Boston and he received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University in Angola, IN. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a Mechanical Engineering Manager at the Foxboro Co. in Foxboro for 20 years before retiring. Prior to the Foxboro Co. he owned Dychro Corp. in Wellesley, an optical encoding company. He previously worked at Draper Corporation and the Computer Control . Roger was the Past Commander of the Armenian-American Veterans of Milford and Knights of Vartan of Worcester. He was the Past President of the Milford Kiwanis Club and the Past President of the Parish Council at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour in Worcester. Roger enjoyed flying his own airplane and held a pilots license for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and the AOPA. Roger also designed the Armenian Genocide Memorial at Vernon Grove cemetery in Milford which was dedicated by the Armenian-American Veterans Organization of Milford. In addition to his wife, Jean, of 53 years, he is survived by two daughters, Maryellen Papelian of Hopkinton and Jeanmarie Papelian and her husband Stephen Bottomley of Salem, NH; four grandchildren, Michael Villa and Thomas Villa both of Hopkinton, Grace Bottomley and Luke Bottomley both of Salem, NH; and his sister in-law and brother in-law Joan and John Demoy. He was predeceased by an infant son, David Roger Papelian, a sister, Alice DUrso and a brother, Leo Papelian. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews and many great friends. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Michael Constantine and the dedicated staff at the Milford Dana-Farber. Visiting hours will be held Sun. 11, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford MA. services will be held Mon. 12, 2015 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home followed by services at 10 AM at the Armenian Church of the Holy Translators, 38 Franklin St., Framingham, MA 01702. Obituary: Ralph Everett Pape, 91 of Chatham, passed peacefully on , May 6th 2017 at home. Ralph was born 11, 1925 in Cambridge, MA, the second son of Harry C. and Piedad (Piña) Pape. His grandfather, Henry Pape, was a close associate of Richard Hellman and family history always involved mayonnaise. Ralph grew up in Tenafly, NJ, served in the Navy as an aviation storekeeper during WWII at naval air stations in Maine and joined the family food distribution business after the war, having graduated from the Packard Business School. Ralph and Marjorie Sherman married in 1950 and raised their two sons Harry and Larry in Cresskill, NJ. He led the boys in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts taking his troop to Minnesota and Canada for canoeing and to Switzerland for a three-week international experience. Harry and Wendy live in Princeton, MA and shared the lives of their three children and now four grandchildren. Larry and Liz live in Sterling, MA and shared the lives of their four children and now three grandchildren. Ralph and Marjorie would have celebrated 67 years together in the Fall. Leaving New Jersey in 1992, Ralph and Marjorie settled into a comfortable retirement In Chathams River Bay. continued their life-long love of bridge with fellow retirees, and Ralph became active in local organizations including the Chatham COA, the Retired Mens Club, Newcomers, the Great Expectations Investment Club and the Railroad Museum. Obituary: Brooke L. Papazoglou, 31 of Lynn died suddenly at home. She was born in Lynn, the daughter of Sharon (Bell) Alley and her husband Lynn Fire Lt. Roger Alley of Lynn and Peter E. Papazoglou of Lynn. She was a lifelong resident of the city and was a graduate of St. Marys High School Class of 1997. Brooke was currently enrolled at North Shore Community . Brooke was known for her great personality, she was very out going, funny and loved dancing and enjoyed life. She especially loved the time she spent with her daughter. In addition to her parents she is survived by her 3 year old daughter, Mea Papazoglou and her father Steve A. Hobbs, Jr.; one brother Peter C. Papazoglou of East Boston, one sister Madison Alley of Lynn; her grandparents Patricia Alley of Lynn and Ernest and Viola (Zetes) Papazoglou of Lynn and many aunts, uncles cousins and friends. Obituary: Barbara Papazian, 87, of Worcester passed away 4, at Knollwood surrounded by her family. She was born in Worcester on 16, 1927 a daughter of the late Sarkis H. and Esther (Agoian) Papazian. Barbara attended local schools and graduated from Commerce High School. Barbara joined the Foreign Service of the State Department in Washington DC in 1960. Following her assignment in the states she was assigned to Paris for 14 months. When she returned, she went on to work as a Secretary for various local companies. She retired from UMass Hospital as an Administrative Assistant in 1994. She was raised a member of the Armenian Church of Martyrs and then joined the Park Congregational Church. Her faith was a very important part of her life. Barbara had a passion for food, especially cooking and dining out. She loved traveling and visited many European countries. When spending time at home she enjoyed reading, the daily crossword puzzle, and spending time with family and friends. Barbara is survived by a niece Nancy M. Papazian and her daughter Andrea Giannino of Worcester; a nephew David S. Papazian and his wife Gina of Worcester; a nephew Gerald Papazian and his wife Joan of Incline Village, NV; as well as many beloved great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her family, Barbara was fortunate to have many dear friends. Barbara was predeceased by two brothers; George Papazian of Whitinsville and Richard H. Papazian of Worcester; and three nephews, Ralph, Ronald and David Papazian. A Memorial Service will be held on , Sept. 13 at 1pm at Park Congregational Church in the Davis Chapel, 111 Park Ave, Worcester. The Davis Chapel,is attached to the First Baptist Church and can be accessed from Park Avenue. The Rev. Dr. Gary Shahinian will officiate. Burial will be private.
