Obituary: a-Norman Ronald Pomerleau, passed peacefully with his family at his side on 1st 2014 after suffering from a chronic heart condition. Norman was born in Waterville on 1st 1938 the youngest of eight children, he was the son of Louis and Roseanna (Thibideault) Pomerleau. He was educated in Waterville Schools. In of 1959 he married the love of his life and best friend Marilyn (MacFadzen). were married nearly 55 years. Over the years Norman was employed by Waterville Poster, W.A Taylor and Sons, Scott Paper Winslow, and S.D. Warren. Retiring in 1994 he and Marilyn enjoyed their retirement years traveling between their home in Waterville and their peace of heaven, a camp he built in the woods of Shirley, Maine. He was an avid sportsman and rarely let his heart condition keep him down. Norman was pre-deceased by older brothers, Edward, Lafayette, Leo and Robert as well as a sister Yvonne(De Neige) Wilbur. Norman is survived by his wife Marilyn, his daughter Peggy and her husband Andrew, of South China. A granddaughter Amanda( Diblasi) Haley and husband TJ of Pearland TX, grandson James Addison Harder IV & his fiancé Amy Lachance of East Vassalboro, granddaughters Alyssa Jaye Breault of Pikeville KY, Jennifer Lee Breault of South China and grandson Joshua Lawrence Breault of South China. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Andrew James and Taylor Janelle Haley. A brother, Francis and wife, Agnes Pomerleau, of Winslow. His sister, Mildred(Rita) Rheaume, also of Winslow. He and Marilyn were also god parents, and especially close to niece Tina (Rheaume) Estes, and her husband Chris of Millinocket, God child, Rhonda (Pooler) Ames, and her husband Mark of Benton, as well as their children, Paige and Micah. Their son, Seth Ames, of Vassalboro, was also a god child. Norman was also b god father to his niece Donna Cayouette of Clinton, prior to marrying Marilyn. One of Normans greatest pleasures was regularly hosting breakfast for a group of friends they called, The Over the Hill Gang, which included his brother Frank, as well as dear friends, Emerson Fleury and Ron St Amand. Obituary: Mignonne (Midge) Pomerleau, 88, of Montello Manor, and long-time resident of Maison Marcotte, passed away on , May 11. Midge was born in Lewiston, 10, 1923, the daughter of Romeo and Emella (Maheux) Pomerleau and blessed with a wonderful step mother, Rejeanne Gagnon Pomerleau. She was educated at St. Peters School and worked at various places including the Mohican Bakery/Market in Lewiston, where she worked as an icer, and Supreme Slipper where she was employed as a stitching room supervisor until her retirement. Midge was the quintessential "aunt who always had gum in her purse." She had a great sense of humor and usually wore a smile on her face... right to the end of her life. She will be missed by many. Survivors include a sister, Gratia, of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Edna Pomerleau, of Reading MA; ten nieces and nephews, including Cecile Thornton, who resides locally, and sixteen great-nieces and nephews . She was predeceased by her brother, Armand in 2003 and a sister, Yvette Desjardins, in 2007. Obituary: Gerald Jerry Pomerleau, 71 Sidney - Gerald Jerry Pomerleau, 71, of Sidney died on 27, 2017 in a of complications of a stroke. He was born on 15, 1946 in Waterville, a son of Lafayette and Lucille (Caron) Pomerleau. He graduated from Waterville High School, Class of 1965, and entered the US Navy shortly after graduating. Jerry worked as manager of Cinema , was the owner of Pine Acres Restaurant and as a self-employed contractor. During time off he enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Jerry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Paula (MacDonald) Pomerleau of Sidney; his daughter Kelly Neill and her husband David and their children Justin and Eliza of Debary, FL; his daughter Lisa Klein and her husband Bob and their children Robert and Delsin of Oakland, ME; his sister Nancy Turmelle and her husband Joe of Springvale, ME; his brother Alan Caron and his wife Kristina Egan of Freeport, ME; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends. Obituary: Francis Frank R. Pomerleau 80 AUGUSTA - Francis Frank Reginald Pomerleau a lifelong resident of Winslow passed peacefully 12, 2015 at Maine General Hospital in a. He was born in Winslow, Maine 15, 1935 the son of Louis and Roseanna Thibideault Pomerleau. He attended schools in Winslow and also Saint Francis School in Waterville. Frank developed a work ethic while still in school working at the Lockwood Mill in Waterville to help support his family facing the untimely death of his father when Frank was twelve. As a young man he enlisted in the Naval Reserves and served on the destroyer the USS Clarence Bronson. In 1954 Frank married his wife of 61 years Agnes A Couture of Waterville. He was drafted into the US Army in 1958 and served in Germany where he attained the rank of Sargent. Frank saw Elvis Presley in a military jeep while in Germany. Most of Franks career was in automotive service. He started as a parts manager for Central Maine Motors in Waterville. Frank then became the service manager for Joseph Motors in Waterville for several years. He later was the store manager for L & A Tire in Waterville. The owner of L & A Tire started VIP Discount Auto where Frank was store manager of the Waterville store from its inception until he retired. Frank was a very personable man. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and usually had them laughing in the end at one of his jokes. Frank was an avid reader. He read thousands of books. He enjoyed country music. Frank was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. One of his loves was hunting. Besides much time spent in the Maine woods, he made several trips to Colorado and one to Canada to hunt. Most often his brother Norman was his hunting companion. Franks favorite place to be was at his camp on Lake Moxie in The Forks, Maine. He spent most of his free time there. One of his favorite things to do in his later years was meeting for coffee with his brother, Norman and wife Marilyn, Franks sister, Rita and friends, Emerson Fleury and Ron St Amand. Frank was pre-deceased by brothers Edward, Lafayette, Leo, Robert and Norman, as well as a sister, Yvonne (De Neige) Wilbur. Frank is survived by his wife Agnes of Lakewood Continuing in Waterville, his son Jeffrey and his wife Audie Harris of Scarborough; two grandsons Eliot and Nolan Pomerleau of Scarborough; Sister Rita Rheaume of Winslow, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Franks name to the Alzheimers Association PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
