Obituary: A Mass of Christian burial will be held , 22, 2014, at 1:00 PM at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin for Mr. Wilfred Son Peltier, Jr., 93, a native of Franklin and a longtime resident of Bayou Sale, who passed away , 18, 2014, at 1:10 PM at his home. Burial will follow in the Franklin . Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services. Mr. Peltier was a veteran of the United States Army, having faithfully served his country and fellow man during World War II, fighting in many battles in the European Theater. Survivors include four children, Cherryl Shilling of Houston, Texas, Sheila Finley and her husband Tim of Bayou Sale, Wilfred Chip Peltier, III and his wife Leslie of Lafayette, and Russell Peltier and his devoted friend Paul Weiss of Bayou Sale; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Brownell of Morgan City, Lova Peltier of Walker and Georgia Peltier of Berwick; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmelita Cookie Bernucho Peltier; two children, Maria Lorraine Peltier and Diana Carol Peltier; his parents, Wilfred Peltier, Sr. and Ellen Coleman Peltier; four sisters, Mary Ellen P. Foreman, Emmadel P. Levet, Elizabeth P. Duncan Foreman, and Miriam P. Firmin; and two brothers, Huey Paul Peltier and Godfrey Harry Peltier. A gathering of family and friends will be held at St. Jules Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 1:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Weiss, Jeremy Clements, John Peltier, Jeremy Finley, Ira Buck Finley, Jr., and Michael Finley. Obituary: NEW IBERIA - A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Steve James Peltier, age 65, at 2:00 pm , 31, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon Officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park with military honors provided by the LA National Guard Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on until service time. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Peltier passed away at 10:54 am on , 28, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Peltier was a graduate of NISH in 1969. He was a member of the LA Army National Guard from 1970-1976 as an Infantryman. He was employed with National Supermarket for 23 years and then Super 1 Foods for 20 years. He loved Cajun music and dancing with his wife, especially a regular following to TK Hulin and Smoke. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Hebert Peltier of New Iberia; four sons, Chet Peltier and Brandi of Lafayette; Chad Peltier; Cory Peltier and Chantel and Clint Peltier, Sr. and Heidi Guidry all of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Caitlin Peltier; Maxwell Peltier; Curtlyn Arabie; Chacelyn Peltier; Caelen Peltier and Clint Peltier, Jr. and three brothers, Larry Peltier of Breaux Bridge; Ronald Peltier and Donna and Edward Peltier and Karen all of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Virginia Romero Peltier; Maternal grandparents, Oralie and Ophelia Romero; Paternal Grandparents, Walter and Irma Peltier; his Aunt Wayza Richard and husband Noah and his godson, Raymond Peltier. Born on 1, 1926, to Charles and Annette Dugas Oschwald, Priss is survived by her daughter, Annette Peltier Freedman and husband, Carl; her sons, Rickey Peltier and wife, Arlene Pfister; Jack Peltier and Dr. Rodney Higgins; Jerome Peltier and Pansy Rodrigue; Clarence Peltier and wife, Lori Dupre; Johnny Peltier and wife, Bonnie Joffrion; her grandchildren, Trichelle Peltier Labauve and husband, Jody; Benji Peltier and wife, Christi Major; Leila Reilly and husband, Brandon; Jessica Peltier; Brittany Peltier and Lane Comeaux; Stephen Peltier; Marcus Landry and wife, Amanda Pace; Matthew Peltier; Zachary Peltier; Rosa Freedman and Martin Gosserand; her great-grandchildren, Hannah and Madelyn Labauve, Beau Peltier, and Ava Landry; and her sister-in-law and good friend, Aline Doll Rodrigue Oschwald. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, including Gene Folse Sotile and her husband, Glenn; Raye Beth Oschwald Logsdon; Kathy Madere; and the Kocke family; by many neighbors and special friends, who helped take care of her throughout the years; and by many grand-pets, especially Cupcake, who was her little protector until the end. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Richard Dick Peltier; parents, Charles and Annette Dugas Oschwald; sister and brother-in-law, Ike and Ruby Oschwald Rome; sister, Ann Rose Oschwald Folse; brothers, Ray Oschwald and Donald Oschwald. A memorial Mass will be held on , 28th, at Ascension Catholic Church of Donaldsonville at noon, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The mass will be celebrated by Father Cleo Milano. Entombment will follow at Ascension Catholic Church Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Prisss honor to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Obituary: RYNELLA \ A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for George Joseph Peltier, Sr., age 81, at 11:00 am , 10, 2015 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church. Fr. Gene Tremie will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus . A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline on from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the Mens Rosary Group leading the Recitation of the Rosary. Visiting hours will resume on from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. George Joseph Peltier, Sr. was born 4, 1933 on Weeks Island to the late Henry Peltier, Sr. and Azilda Lopez Peltier Trimm; and passed away , 4, 2015 at his residence in ncro. George was a lifelong Insurance Representative and retired with Evangeline Life Insurance . He had a passion for music and was an accomplished pianist and drummer, as well as being able to play many more instruments. He played with several bands, but also donated his time and talents by playing music for residents of area nursing homes, something that brought him great joy. With his love of music, was also a love for dancing, which he and Therese did often. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife Therese Theriot Picard Peltier of ncro; his ten children, Linda Kropp of Washington, Christy Peltier Dewey (Larry) of Tampa, FL, George J. Peltier, II of Broussard, Theresa Kremer (Kenny) of Minot, ND, Janis Lassere (Scotty) of ncro, Mary Manual of Lafayette, Lisa Peltier of ncro, Jane Peltier Johnson of Missouri, Richard Peltier (Sandra) of Morganza, Bridget Peltier of ncro; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; six step-children, Gene Picard (Cynthia Talley) of New Iberia, Vernon Picard (Kate) of Lafayette, Clay Picard (Vonnie) of Rayne, Cindy Picard Meyers (Armand, Jr.) of New Iberia, Glen Picard (Kim) of Baton Rouge, Julie Picard Briley (Brian) of Opelousas; 13 step-grandchildren; 15 step-great grandchildren; his brother and sister, Henry Peltier, Jr. (Barbara) and Jolin Arcement all of New Iberia; and his beloved min-pin, Annie. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by wife of first marriage, Ethel Watkins Peltier; his grandchildren, Brittney and Dusty Manuel; step-daughter, Ellen Picard Hebert; and his brother and sister, Allen Peltier and Linda Peltier Romero.
