Obituary: Mary Myrtle Coleman Patrick Epps, LA services for Mrs. Myrtle Patrick will be held at 10 AM , 23, 2015 in the chapel of Cox in Delhi with Rev. Jason Middleton and Bro. Justin Colquette officiating. Visitation will be held at Cox in Delhi on , 22nd from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in the Delhi Masonic . Pallbearers will be Chris Watkins, Joe Keene, Randy Orr, Randy Henson, Bro. Justin Colquette and Carl Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Castilaw, Jerry Motherspaugh and Dr. Lucas Beebe. Myrtle was born 2, 1924 to Mary Olivia and J. R. (Bob) Coleman, Sr. who preceded her in death. She went to her heavenly home on , 20, 2015 surrounded by her family. Also preceding her in death were her siblings Lee Coleman, C. W. Coleman, J. L. Coleman, James Robert Coleman, Jr., Jamie Copes and Mabel Fuller. Her husband, Edgar Jack Patrick, Sr. died when she was only 22 years old leaving her a widow with three children and 6 months pregnant with another child. Those surviving children are Mary Jean Patrick Sewell of Monroe, Gwen Patrick Castilaw and husband Bob of Oak Grove, Edgar Jack (Buddy) Patrick, Jr. and wife Connie of Bastrop and Bobbie Jo Patrick Motherspaugh and husband Jerry of Farmerville. She is also survived by a special cousin/sister Loretta Fuller Keene, brothers Leo Coleman and wife Brenda of Delhi, Nolan Coleman and wife Margaret of Ruston, and sisters Bertha Coleman Slayter of Merryville and Pauline Coleman Taylor and husband G. W. of Bentley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was Memaw to 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Myrtle was the last Charter Member of White Oak Baptist Church which was founded by her grandfather Chester Lee White. She played the piano and served in other capacities at the church that she loved so much. For 22 years, Myrtle has a very unique job. She was taught by her nephew, John Patrick, to wind and build coils for electric motors. She was known all over northeast Louisiana as the place to go to get a motor wound. She was fair in price and her work was top notch. People from Monroe, Jones, Bonita and surrounding areas still ask if Mom is still winding motors. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Enriquez and staff of Richland Parish Hospital-Delhi.
