Obituary: WILLIAM HUGH PARKER COX FUNERAL HOME MER ROUGE, LA. services for Mr. William Hugh Parker will be held 11:00 AM , 6, 2016 at the Mer Rouge United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mollie McGhee officiating. Interment will follow at the Mer Rouge under the direction of Cox of Bastrop. William Hugh Parker was born 1, 1929 in Mer Rouge, Louisiana to the late Robert Felix Parker and Gladys Cox Parker. He passed away unexpectedly on 3, 2016 at the Rapides Regional Medical in Alexandria, Louisiana. A retired cotton farmer, Mr. Parker was a member of the Mer Rouge United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Army where he served with the missile defense system. Mr. Parker was a past-president of the Morehouse Gin and Elevator and former board member with the Cotton Warehouses in Mer Rouge. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bobby Parker; two brothers, Billy Parker and T.J. Parker; and a sister, Carol Parker Rogers. Mr. William Hugh is survived by his wife, Dot Parker; three children, Kendall Parker and his wife, Donna, John Parker, and Jan Haneline and her husband, Richard; daughter-in-law, Cathy Parker; sister, Roberteen Johnson and her husband, Bennett; brother, Guy Parker and his wife, Betty; numerous grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Serving as pallbearers are Marley Oldham, Dickie Blackwell, Dickie Heusel, Daniel Harris, George Warren, Buddy Blackwell, Dr. Allen Spires, and Ted Parker. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM until time for services on , 6th, at the Mer Rouge Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Obituary: BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services to celebrate the life of Virginia B. Parker, 78, will be held at 10:00 a.m., , May 14, 2015, at Hill Crest Memorial . Officiating the service will be Dr. Randy Harper of Bellaire Baptist Church where Virginia was a member. Interment will follow in Campground , Winthrop, AR. The family will receive guests on evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Virginia was born on 2, 1936, and passed away on the evening of May 10, 2015. She retired from Bell South with thirty years of faithful employment. Virginia was an avid reader, and an excellent cook. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and taking care of those she loved. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, David and Hattie Bush; brother, Mickey Bush, Sr.; nephew, Mickey Bush, Jr., and niece, Dee Dee Chandler. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mitchell Hammonds and wife Lil, and Connie Rosalies and husband Howard; sisters, Betty Sumner and husband Jerry, and Nona Ryals and husband Clayton; and brothers, Bobby Bush and wife Donna, and Rex Bush. Obituary: A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother passed away peacefully , 7, 2014 at the age of 65. It was a cold winter day but he was surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Tom graduated from Glen Oaks High School in 1966 and then served his country in the US Air Force for four years. He worked with his father as a master carpenter. Tom retired from Exxon Mobil after 26 years as a machinist. While at Exxon Mobil, he was the United Way Representative for Zone 15 for many years. He joined the Loyal Order of Moose in 1996 and later served the Bayou Moose Legion 116 in many capacities including administrator of Baton Rouge lodge 1341 and Bayou Moose Legion President. Tom was an avid crossword and Sudoku solver. Tom enjoyed going to Nascar races in Talladega and snow derby in Pensacola and his favorite driver Tony Stewart. Tom loved celebrating Mardi Gras with his Nemesis Riders and was known for telling his Tom jokes. He always wanted to join the procrastinator club but never got around to it. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks 9595 Florida Blvd. on , 9, 2014, from 4 PM until 8 PM and will resume , 10, 2014, from 12 PM until funeral service at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Diane Tridico Parker; mother, Maurine Parker; two daughters, Tracy ONeal and spouse, Robert E. ONeal Jr, and Bridget Parker and spouse, Kris Meliet; one son, Thomas Pat Parker and spouse, Opal Howell; one step daughter, Amy Sarradet; two sisters, Linda McDaniel and husband, Brent, and Judith Hammond and husband, Steven; two brothers, Warren Parker and wife, Kay, and Paul Parker and wife, Terry; seven grandchildren, Tori ONeal, Kaysea ONeal, Dillon Howell, Emily Meliet, Kailee Howell, Shyane Howell, and Briton Meliet; and large extended family and special friends. He will be missed by his special pet, Pup. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Parker. The family would like to thank their caregiver, Janet McManus, Dr. McCanless, Dr. Russell, and all of the nurses at the chemo lab in the Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet for all of the love, compassion, and support that they have shown.
