Obituary: Bernice Autin Parke passed away on , 15, 2016 at the age of 72. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church. Bernice retired from Jefferson Parish after many years of dedicated service. Bernice is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years Norman Parke, Sr.; children Gwen Murphy (Mark), Carl Howard (Donna), Eddie Parke (Sherile), and Deanna Parke; grandchildren Alyssa, Jessica, Justin, Candace, Billy, Benji, and Brian; 14 great grandchildren; one sister Lynda Prattini; and sister-in-law Phyllis Autin; she also leaves behind her beloved pet Lil Guy. She is preceded in death by her parents Ruth Moll Autin and Albert P. Autin, Sr.; brother Albert P. Autin, Jr.; son Ricky Parke; and son-in-law Doug Murphy. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Memorial Mass on , 19, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie , 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. |

Obituary: Pauline Jennie Parish died peacefully on , 20, 2015 at the age of 90. Pauline is survived by her niece Kathleen McLin and husband Ruffin; nephew Chester Parish and wife Louise; great nieces Kelly McKnight and husband Daron, and Kimberly Carpenter and husband Cameron; great-grandnieces Maycee McKnight, Abigail Carpenter and Allie Carpenter; and great-grandnephew Carter McKnight. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Consider Parish and Mae Smith Parish; brothers Chester, Sam and William Parish; and sister Ruth Parish. Pauline was born on 16, 1924 in Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated from LSU in 1945 with a degree in accounting. While in college, she spent one year in Washington DC as an auditor the US Navy during World War II. graduation, she began working for Ethyl Corporation as an accountant and retired 30, 1989 after 43+ years of service. retirement, she remained very active by volunteering with the Salvation Army Womens Auxiliary, serving for several years as Treasurer of the organization. In addition, she volunteered at the Baton Rouge General Hospital (Mid-City) Gift Shop, where she enthusiastically donated 12,003 hours of her time. In recognition of her dedicated service, she was inducted into their Hall of Fame. In addition, she was named the 1999 Volunteer of the Year. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held , 22nd at Greenoaks , 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks , , 23rd from 10:00am til service time of 12:00pm. Burial will follow immediately at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105, 800-805-5856, or online at www.stjude.org. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice in His , especially Pierre and Brenda for their loving care.
