Wester (Randolph), Katherine M. Hakenjos, Carl B. Hakenjos, Jr.(Shannon), Christopher G. Hakenjos Sr. (Terry),Thomas F. Hakenjos Sr., and the late Margaret R. Hakenjos. Grandfather of Marguerite S., Laura H., and Oliver J. Preston, and step-grandfather of Jennifer W. Clark(Jack), Emily F.Wester, Sarah R. Smith, Christopher G. Hakenjos, Jr.. (Angie), Hannah A. Hakenjos, Christine E. and Thomas F. Hakenjos, Jr., Tara and Ryan Deffes. Step-great-grandfather of Chase W. Hakenjos. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Samuel M. Rosamond, Jr. (Pat), several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Parham, Sr., his mother, Rose F. Scullin Parham, sister Mary P. Leclere and half-brothers Arthur J. Parham, Sr. and William D. Parham, Jr. Born 26, 1925, he was a World War II veteran who served aboard the USS Maryland, BB46. Wounded during the invasion of Okinawa, he was awarded the Purple Heart. A graduate of Loyola University in 1948, he began his business career as an Advertising Account Executive with the Times-Picayune, continuing in advertising sales at WDSU-TV, WVUE-TV, and WWL-TV. In 1987 he and his wife moved to Washington, D.C., returning to New Orleans in 2005. He was the third President of the St. Charles Avenue Association, served as a member and President of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of the Sacred Heart, and participated in “Dialogue in Black and White” as a co-leader of groups. For this activity he was extended associate membership in the Louisiana Group Psychotherapy Association. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn , 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124 on Nov. 8, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM. Inurnment will be in Arlington National at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, 1128 Great Road, Princeton, NJ, 08540, a school for boys, of which his daughter, Michelle Preston, was a founder. |

Obituary: Charles Luther Parham, IV passed away on , 14, 2016, at the age of 71. Chuck is survived by his wife Lori N. Parham; mother Martha E. Harris; daughter Michelle Parham Wilson; sons Charles Luther Parham, V and Joshua Ryan Parham; grandchildren Zac Parham, Cole Anderson, Kylee Parham, Carlee Anderson, Nash Wilson, Katie Kinard, and Amanda Davis as well as ten great-grandchildren. He went on to attend North Texas University and served in the Texas National Guard. Chuck had an extensive background in the oil industry, most recently he was employed with Halliburton as an engineer. Obituary: Psalm 21 Carroll Henry Parham, 88, 23, 1924 to 23, 2013, passed away surrounded by his wife, Vera E. Parham of 68 years and 1 month, his children and their spouses, as well as 3 generations of grandchildren. Carroll spent his life serving his Lord. He served as a deacon and Bible teacher for over 60 years. He sang in the choir for many years. He served in WWII as a Master Sgt. , then he worked at PPG for 39 years. Left to cherish his memory along with his wife are his five children, Pat Dawsey and husband, Jim, Pamela Nave and husband, Gene all of Longville, LA, Paul Parham and fiancé, Susan Oliver of Lafayette, LA, Phillip Parham and wife, Dena of Sierra Vista, AZ, Mark Parham and wife, Yolanda of Westlake, LA; 1 sister, Marjorie Gill of IN; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Louis and LuLu Parham; 1 son, Preston Parham; 2 grandsons, Matt and Jack Vickers; 1 great- grandchild, Hailey Johnson; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. His going will be 10am , 30 in Hixson of Westlake. The Rev. Jaceson Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8pm , 29 at the funeral home.
