He was a committed, loving husband to Joyce May Palmer celebrating 54 years of marriage. He was the loving, supportive, encouraging father to his children and their spouses: Marilyn Joyce Palmer, Lisa Palmer Bonaventure and her husband, John Howard Bonaventure, Bryan Glenn Palmer and his wife, Sherri Stafford Palmer, and Kimberly Palmer Albin and her husband, Randy Edward Albin. He was the perfect Granddaddy or Daddy Glenn to six wonderful grandchildren: Devyn Edward Albin and his fiancée, Danielle Nicole Rushing, Amanda Leigh Tomlinson and her husband, Charles Andrew Tomlinson, Cara Michellé Jordan, Lyndsey Brooke Palmer, Bailey Aline Palmer, and Alexandra Ali Elizabeth Albin. He was the proud great-grandfather to Zayne Keaston Kitzmiller and Nicholas Andrew Tomlinson. Glenn was a beloved son to Samuel and Lanzy Palmer. He was the faithful older brother to Benny Ray Palmer and his wife, Sharon Bozeman Palmer, Gary Don Palmer, Sr. and his wife, Kay Aydell Palmer, and Anita Palmer Smiley and her husband, John Thomas Smiley. His lifelong best friend who was considered a brother is Rev. Gene Erwin, Sr. and his wife, Delores Erwin. Glenn was a life-long member of Judson Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the fiddle; especially for senior citizen groups with the Bat ey Boys. Members were Ever Ready, Seldom Ready, and Never Ready. He enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with Bryan and Devyn. He also loved sitting on the porch in his rocking chair to sit and stare. He worked at Bordens Milk and Dairy packing ice cream for 12 years and at BASF Chemical Plant as a Chemical Operator for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his precious baby girl, Marilyn Joyce Palmer and father, Samuel Edward Palmer. Pallbearers will be Devyn Edward Albin, Charles Andrew Tomlinson, Darren Todd Palmer, Gary Don Palmer, Jr., Jody Dewayne Palmer, Adam Ray Palmer, and Jordan Thomas Smiley. Visistation is at Seale in Denham Springs, Louisiana on , 3, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at Seale on , 4, 2015 at 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Internment will follow at Salem in Walker, Louisiana. The clergy will be Rev. Gene Erwin, Sr., Dr. David Lane, and Mr. Jeremy Ferachi. Obituary: Elaine Bienvenu Palmer age 92 beloved wife of 72 years to Richard Louis Palmer, Sr, daughter of the late Sidney C. Bienvenu and the late Theresa Lowe. Sister of the late Earl F. Bienvenu. Loving mother of Richard L. Palmer, Jr. (Elaine), Terry Ann Palmer Clark (Charles) and the late Robert J. Palmer, Sr. (Elizabeth). Grandmother of Robert J. Palmer, Jr., Randy Palmer, Darren Clark, Dawn Clark Lynch and Dereck Clark. Great-Grandmother of Robert J. Palmer III (Trey), Dylan Clark, Warren Lynch, Barrett Lynch and step-granddaughter Hailee. Elaine was a secretary for the Jefferson Parish School Board serving at Bridgedale Elementary and retiring from Phoebe Hearst Elementary. Her best hobbies were crocheting and gardening. Obituary: Edith Sue Palmer Vinton - Mrs. Edith Sue Palmer, 62, passed away on 22, 2014 in her residence. Mrs. Palmer was born in DeQuincy, lived in Vinton and worked at Delta Downs. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Her hobby was playing on the computer. Obituary: Dr. Abraham Lincoln Palmer of Ponchatoula, Louisiana passed away after a brief illness, on 28, 2015 at the age of 93. He was born on 2, 1922 in Perrysville, Ohio to Charles Matthew and Ethel Estelle Palmer. Known to his family as Abe, he was raised on a farm during the depression years. He was one of 11 children, 9 of whom grew to their adult years. He served as a Seabee in the United States Navy during World War II. Following the war, he worked as a welder until his call to ministry. He attended Moody Bible Institute, Ashland University, and Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating in 1955. He and his wife, Dorothy Unruh Palmer, were married on 31, 1952. While in Ohio, he became the founding pastor of the Crestline Mission. In Dallas, he served as pastor of the Pilgrim Chapel Bible Church. In 1957, they moved to Missouri for further education. He became the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hale, Missouri in 1957 and served there until his call to the First Baptist Church of Trenton, Missouri in , 1961. He would go on to serve there until 18, 1986. During his years in Trenton he served in multiple Baptist leadership roles including the Executive Board of the Missouri Baptist Convention, the School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, the board of trustees of Southwest Baptist University, and on the board of the Grand Oaks Baptist Assembly. He was active in the Trenton Rotary Club, serving as the area District Governor in 1968-69. In his years after leaving Trenton, he served as the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Opelousas, Louisiana from 1986 into 1988. In of 1988, he retired from full-time ministry and relocated to the Hammond/ Ponchatoula, Louisiana area. He then began a very active and fruitful 27 year period of ministry as an interim pastor, supply preacher, and mentor to younger pastors. He preached in over 100 churches and served as interim pastor on 12 different occasions, including four months at the International Baptist Church in Antwerp, Belgium. Dr. Palmer was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy, who passed away on 30, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Norene Palmer of Ponchatoula, LA,; his son, Clark Palmer, of Pineville, LA,; and his three grandchildren, Travis Hutchinson, Matthew Palmer, and Michelle Palmer. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. He is survived by his two sisters, Marie Snyder and Joanne Allen, and by two brothers, Hugh Palmer and Gene Palmer. Family visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula, LA on , 30, 2015, from 6:30-8:30 PM. Family visitation will continue morning at 8:30 AM until the memorial service begins at 10:00 AM. The service will be conducted by Norene Palmer and Clark Palmer.
