Obituary: Richard L. Dick Puterbaugh, 72, passed away on , 7/28/14. Dick was born 26, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Robert C. and Marjorie (Jewell) Puterbaugh, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Francis 9Kercher) Puterbaugh, and brother, Robert C. Puterbaugh, Jr. Dick graduated from Marion High School in Marion, Indiana in 1960. He served his country from 1960 – 64 as a Corporal E-4 in the United States Marine Corps, including stops in Okinawa, and in Cuba during the missile crisis if 1962. Beginning in 1964, Dick worked in banking, finance and collections in Indiana his entire life, including National Bank, Teachers Credit Union, and Midwest Collections in South Bend. Dick was married to his best friend and love of his life, Cheryl, for 48 years. She survives at home, along with a daughter, Tracy (Steve) Abney of Phoenix, Arizona, a son, James Puterbaugh of South Bend, granddaughter, Megan Abney of Phoenix, and Julianna Blosser of Goshen, a grandson, Gage Abney of Phoenix, nieces Jackie Puterbaugh of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Dawn Harmon of Olathe, Kansas, and nephews, David Puterbaugh of Toledo, Ohio, Thomas Harris of Wilkinson, Indiana, and Josh Hamilton of Jackson, Tennessee. Dick is also survived by his sister, Patricia Gutierrez of Jackson, Tennessee. Dick was known to everyone close to him as Putter. His life demonstrated a great sense of honor, faithfulness, and loyalty to friends and family, and his gift for storytelling and jokes will be missed. His comical glare- when another driver, friend or family member did something he disapproved of-was legendary. Dicks love of sports, including golf, the Cubbies, Da Bears, NASCAR, and Notre Dame Football , connected him with many. For many years he hosted the Putter Open, a shuffle board tournament for National Bank employees and friends, held every Good afternoon at the Pone Express in Mishawaka, Indiana. Dick was also known for the humorous speeches he gave at his Marion High School reunions. More than anything he enjoyed his life, family, and friends who meant the world to him. He was a member of the American Legion Post 161 in Mishawaka. He struggled with declining health for the past year. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses and therapists at St. Joseph Medical , Michiana and Rehabilitation, the Visiting Nurses Association, The for Hospice , and especially Dr. Bialikiewicz, Dr. Shaihk, and Dr. Wu for their wonderful care during his illness. The family also has a warm thank you for family friends Mary Lou Thompson and Rich Worthington for their support during Dicks hospitalizations and therapy. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to The for Hospice or The American Heart Association. A Memorial Service will be held on , 16th at 4:00p.m. at Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN., with visitation one hour before the service. |

Obituary: Susan J. Pusztai, 75, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on , 9, 2016 in Heritage at Lowman Rehabilitation and care in Chapin, South Carolina. Susan was born on 18, 1940 in South Bend to John Michael and Minnie (Odusch) Kasprzak. She was the owner of the Tahitian Salon in Mishawaka for 31 years. A beloved mother, Susan is survived by her two daughters, Chris (Mark) Gray of Columbia, South Carolina and Lyn Pustai of Chicago, Illinois; one grandson, Daniel Adkins; her brother, John Kasprzak of South Bend, Indiana; two nephews, John (Jackie) Kasprzak and Michael (Sherry) Kasprzak; three great-nieces, Kimmie, Abby, and Amanda Kasprzak; one great-nephew, John Michael Kasprzak; and her spiritual sister, Mary Ann Kendziora. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:30 am, 31st in Crypt of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. A visitation will take place before mass on , 31st at 8:30 am at the Crypt of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame. Obituary: Catherine L. Cathy Pusich, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away on , 25, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born on 25, 1925, in Sawyerville, IL to Steve and Katie (Dobrinich) Biscan. Cathy is survived by her daughter, Sheila Barnhart of Terre Haute; son, John Pusich and wife Melanie of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Dawn Strole (Chris), Robert Barnhart (Ammanda), Mary Coulston (Danny), Tina Barnhart, Andrew Pusich (Kelcee), and Leslie Clendenen (Mike); twelve great-grandchildren, Justin Strole, Dylan Strole, Trentin Barnhart, Branson Barnhart, Cannen Barnhart, Annabel Coulston, Charlie Coulston, Laura Bahr, Liam Pusich, Owen Pusich, Maizee Pusich, and Josie Clendenen. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph V. Pusich; her parents; a sister, Helen Tiburzi and brother, Andy Biscan. Cathy graduated high school in 1943. She was a member of the Mothers Club, New Comers Club, and was a very active member of the Terre Haute Elks Club, where she was the treasurer for the Terre Haute Ladies Bowling League. For many years, she and her husband, Joe, spent much time at the Terre Haute Elks Club, bowling, and golfing. She was inducted into the Terre Haute Bowlers Hall of Fame. Cathy has been an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church since 1963 where she was also on the Altar Society and Mothers Club. Cathys family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice of the Wabash Valley, Father Steve, Father Dan, Deacon Mike, Eucharistic Minister Betty Kapellusch, special neighbors and friends Ann and John Nens, Dr. Koduru, and everyone who cared for and prayed for Mrs. Pusich. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on , 28 at Roselawn . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on , 29 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
