Obituary: Rosalinde Schulz Adams Parks of Beech Grove passed away on 13, 2016. Rosalinde was born 3, 1933 to the late Fritz and Martha Schulz. She was the 9th of 13th children. Rosalinde left Germany in of 1952 for a better life in America. She became a United States Citizen in of 1962. She spent time in Florida and Texas before moving to Indiana in 1962. Rosie married Everet Parks on 19, 1966. She was a homemaker and raised four children. She babysat for many children in her home over the years all while keeping an immaculate home. Her greatest love was her family both here and in Germany. She was immensely proud of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was strong and determined and taught her family the importance of hard work. She was selfless and was always thinking of others. She taught herself to read and write English. She read the newspaper every day and was always sending handwritten cards to her family and friends. If she wasn cooking a wonderful meal in the kitchen, you would find her working in her beautiful yard. She loved to bowl and was on a league for many years. She loved going to the Goodwill and she wouldn miss a good garage sale, auction, or flea market. She remained close to her large family in Germany and made many trips back home to visit. She also loved hosting her German family when they came to visit. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Adams and Evert Parks and her daughter Linda Natalie. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Karl, Hermann, Alfred, Werner, Rudi, Fritz, and Erich. Sisters, Gerda, Christel, and Inge. Survivors sons Klaus (Debbie) Adams, Bob(SuAnn) Parks, daughter Tina (Brad) Shortridge. Son-in-law, Jim Natalie. Grandchildren; Rachel, James, Heather, Joshua, Jacob, Michelle, Parker and Mason along with great-grandchildren; Austin, Olivia, Stephan, Grady, Jamey, Maria, Vaughn, Harper and Grayson Brother Siegfried Cropper and Sister Helga (Marshall) Duncan. Visitation will be held at Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel on , 16, 2016 from 5-8pm. Obituary: Mary Rose Parks, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away at 5:25 p.m. , Feb. 15, 2009, in her residence with her family by her side. She retired from Columbia Records. She was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Terre Haute, to Charles Johnson and Eunice Ann Marshall Johnson. Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Frank Parks, whom she married Dec. 9, 1944, in Louisville, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Jim Lydick of West Terre Haute, and Linda and Bill Spangler of Riley; a sister, Sue Lacher of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Mechelle Sweeting and her husband Mike, Amy Hogue, Eric Spangler and his wife Shelly, and Jenna Lydick, all of Terre Haute, and Trey Lydick of West Terre Haute; eight great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Johnson and Ray Johnson; and three sisters, Bonnie Rukes, Gladys Sutton, and Louise Johnson. She was a graduate of Concannon High School and Smart Appearance Beauty Academy. She had been a beautician and cosmetologist, and a lifelong member of the National Cosmetology Association. She also was a member of First Church of The Nazarene, the Riley Post Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, and the Women of The Moose Lodge at Terre Haute. She loved to read and write poetry. She was a very devoted and loving wife and mother, and cherished every moment spent with her family. She will be missed by many who loved her dearly. services will be 1:30 p.m. in Fitzpatrick , 220 N. Third, in West Terre Haute, with Pastors Loretta and Dan Romanyk officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today, and one hour prior to services . The family suggests that, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, with envelopes available in the funeral home. |
