Obituary: William Childress Piercy passed away on 9, 2010 in Independence, Missouri. He was born 6, 1914, to James Howard Piercy and Minnie Davis Piercy in Barren , Kentucky. On 29, 1940, he married Marcella Gilbert, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his parents one grandson Michael Adkisson, son -in-law Johns Rabun, one brother; Charlie Piercy and one sister; Annie Piercy Gilbert. William is survived by his children, Leisha AenneA Neelix (formerly Norman Piercy) of Portland, Or; Sharon (Jerry) Adkisson, Independence, MO; Brian Piercy, Normal, IL; and Phyllis Rabun, Seattle, WA. Also his grandchildren Pamela West, Kate Piercy, Nikki Piercy, Emily Piercy, Apryll Piercy, Charlotte Rabun and Ginger Rabun, great grandchildren Cassidy Mattocks, Annali West and Tyler West along with numerous nephews and nieces. Mr. Piercy lived in Fairbury, IL, from 1947 to 2008, and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fairbury, where he served for many years as a deacon and a school teacher. working several years on dairy farms in Wisconsin, he and the family moved to Illinois in 1946 to work for a dairy. Assisted by sons Norman and Brian, for 28 years, he ran Bills Sealtest Dairy with his wife, Marcella and his partner Howard Davis. Later, he worked for 15 years for Stiles Ace Hardware in Bloomington. He was an avid reader and accumulated a library of about 1800 volumes, with special interests in historical biographies and Christian authors. He loved people and always had a positive attitude. He had a wide range of interests and was very inquisitive and adventurous. At age 94, he and Marcella moved to Costa Rica to live with Phyllis and family. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on , 13, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Fairbury. Visitation will be held the night prior from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at East Lawn in Bloomington. Entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Bloomington. are being handled by East Lawn in Bloomington. Obituary: PEORIA ~ Bobby F. Piercy, 65 of Peoria passed away at 1:34 a.m. , May 28, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical in Peoria. Born 27, 1949 in Peoria to Benjamin and Bobbie Piercy, he married Joyce Keith on 9, 1968 in Peoria. She died on 3, 2009 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are one son, Ty (Jennifer) Piercy of Peoria; one daughter, Dawn (Chris) Holly of Pekin; six grandchildren, Katelyn, McGwire, Payton, Parker, Carter and Abigail and one sister, Denice (Vince) Pennington of Killen, AL. Obituary: Agnes M. Piercy, age 90 of Ellery, IL passed from this life to the next on 5, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Agnes was born on 21, 1924 in Mt. Carmel, IL to Allen and Bessie (Gilkeson) Newkirk and grew up on their jersey dairy farm. Following graduation from Mt. Carmel High School, Agnes studied nursing at Welborn Hospital in Evansville, IN, and became a registered nurse. She worked as an RN in Princeton, IN. She married Lester Piercy on 25, 1951 at the Lick Prairie Christian Church. Agnes worked for the United States Postal Service as a clerk for many years. She and Lester are known and loved by many in the Ellery community, Edwards and beyond for their cheerful dispositions, big smiles and welcoming attitudes. Agnes loved her Lord and Savior and chose to be of service as the church pianist for many, many years at the Ellery Christian Church, of which she was a member. Friends and family will remember Agnes for the cards, letters and newspaper clippings that she shared and her love of books. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: William, Ivan, Charles and Richard Newkirk. She is survived by her husband, Lester, three sons and their wives: Dr. Stephen (Janice) Piercy of Ft. Dodge, IA, James (Dawn) Piercy of Ellery, IL, and Noel (Barbara) Piercy of Verona, NJ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Amy (Jimmy) Neighbors, Dr. Kathryn (Rick) Ekstrom, Jesse (Adrien) Piercy, Lucy Piercy, Ryan Piercy, Joelle (Dennis Boyles) Boyles-Piercy and Adrianna Piercy. She is also survived by two great-grandsons: James and Joshua. A Celebration of a Life Well Lived Service will take place on , 9, 2014 at 10AM at Ingram in Albion, IL.
