Obituary: Normal - Carolyn I. Park, 88 of Normal passed away on , 4, 2015 at 9:38 a.m. at Heritage , Normal. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on , 10, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Billy Newell officiating. Visitation for Carolyn will be held on , 9, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial in Bloomington and also one hour prior to the service at church on . Interment will be at Funks Grove in McLean, IL. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial is assisting the family with arrangements. Carolyn was born on 20, 1926 in Normal, IL a daughter of Louis and Lena Schultz Reddel. She married Charles R. Park on 30, 1947 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on 13, 1986. Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Linda Park of Mountain View, CA; a son, Richard (Fiancee Kathy Ekstrom) Park of Stanford; six grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Breana, Rob, Josh, and Ashley; one great-grandchild, Aiden; daughter-in-law, Michele Park of Towanda; and one sister, Ruth (Jack) Gooding of Normal. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Park; two brothers and three sisters. Carolyn was employed at State Farm Insurance for many years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington. Carolyn was an avid gardener and loved flowers which extended into her doing flower arranging. She also loved playing card games and reading to her grandchildren. Carolyn was an excellent cook and had a passion for cooking for others.
