Obituary: Lisa Dean Packard, 51, of Idaho Falls, left for her next exciting adventure , 17, 2015. Lisa was born 31, 1963, at Hill Field Air Force Base in Layton, Utah, to Bobby Dean Packard and Evalyn Joy Hall. Lisa leaves behind her two loving daughters, Karissa Joy (James) Byars and Karla Justine Packard, and four awesome grandchildren, Surenity Isabell, Miklo Caine, Heavenly Grace and Isaiah Thomas. She also leaves behind by five siblings, Tim (Sheila) Packard of McMinnville, Ore., Evy (Rick) Williams of Fredericksburg, Va., Bob Packard Jr. of Rigby, Dale Packard of Menan and Lt. Col. Steve Packard of Montgomery, Ala.; and her parents, Bob and Evalyn Packard of Menan. Lisa is survived by her loving companion feline, Abby, who was always by her side. Lisa came from a large extended family, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends that loved her more than she ever realized. Lisa attended school in Grants Pass, Ore., followed by some college in McMinville, Ore., with aspirations of marine biology and horticulture. Lisa was a loving, creative person. She was beaming with life and was always the first to help anyone in a time of need, often putting their needs above her own. She especially enjoyed time spent gardening, painting, crafting and activities with her treasured grandkids. She was also known to lovingly tease family as well as anyone that she felt needed/deserved it. Family and friends were very important to Lisa. Lisa enjoyed life to the absolute fullest. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, walking the beach and collecting shells/sand dollars. She was a very creative artist; she loved to paint and create home décor. Lisa could make something wonderful out of items other may have deemed trash. Lisa was great with plants and even dreamed of running a nursery someday. Lisa was very passionate about reading and puzzle games. Lisa traveled wherever she wanted to go, whenever she could go; she always made friends along the way. She had plans this summer to return "home" along the Oregon coast. Lisa always believed the very best of everyone, regardless of how much angst may have came with the person or situation. She was an unofficial counselor, often helping people through their problems; she could always be counted on to have a kind ear and shoulder to cry upon. Her advice was not always heeded, but she gave it whether you wanted it or not. Private family services will held to celebrate Lisa's journey.
