Obituary: Mrs. Sarah Nell Bridges Pittard, 83, of the Comer & Rehabilitation in Comer, GA passed away , 19, 2015. Mrs. Pittard was born on 13, 1931 in Danielsville, GA, daughter of the late Toombs and Quilla Graham Bridges. She was a seamstress having worked at Monarch Manufacturing in Comer, GA. Survivors include brothers, Talmadge Bridges of Danielsville, GA and Hugh Dorsey Bridges of Kannapolis, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas Pittard. services for Mrs. Pittard will be held at 3:00 p.m., , 21, 2015 at the Pruitt Chapel with Rev. Ray Jenkins and Rev. Zach Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel M. Baptist Church in Danielsville, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on evening. A native of Elberton, GA, Mrs. Pitt was the daughter of the late Ivey Boyce Clark and Minnie Morris Clark and was preceded in death by husband, Walter A. Pitt. She was a homemaker and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Survivors include son, Walter Kenneth Pitt and wife, Terri of Suwanee, GA; brother, Herman Clark of Dewy Rose, GA; grandson, David Pitt, and granddaughter, Jennifer Pitt. services will be held 3PM , 10th in the chapel at Bernstein . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Memorial Park in St. Petersburg, Florida. Obituary: Laura Thompson Pitsikoulis passed away on , 13, 2017 at the age of 55 as the result of a car accident. Laura is survived by her husband, Constantine(Gus)Pitsikoulis, sons, Alexander and Harris Pitsikoulis, parents, Donald and Choyce Thompson, brother, David Thompson, and niece, Sara Thompson. Laura spent most of her childhood in Cumming, Georgia and her adult life in Atlanta. She graduated from the U. of Ga. where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She recently became a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and was, also, a volunteer and former board member at Girl Talk, inc. She worked as an Institutional Trader at Balentine and Son, and Director of Institutional Trading at Wilmington Trust. She and Gus had recently moved to the Athens area where they owned and operated Big Frog T-Shirts and More. She had, also, just become an Independent Consultant for Rodan and Fields. Laura described herself as a wife, mother, business owner, entrepreneur, Bulldog for life who loved God, family, music and travel. Laura made a tremendous impact on everyone she met. Her friends describe her as a mentor, a light, and a savior. She was an enthusiastic volunteer and put her whole heart into any project in which she took an interest, and they were many. She, recently, became disturbed about the lack of concern for the victims of the Albany tornado and took it upon herself to start a fund raising campaign and drive to Albany with the money and donations. She loved her friends, but she loved her family most of all. Her “boys” were her life. Laura’s impact on the world will not be forgotten. She will continue to be with us in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. Services will be held at H.M.
