Obituary: Reverend James Alexander Peppers, age 81, of Locust Grove, Georgia, went to be with His Lord on , 10, 2014. Mr. Peppers was a resident of Laurel Park facility in Stockbridge, Georgia at the time of his death. He pastored several churches between 1966 and 2004. He also owned the Calvary Book Nook in Lawrenceville, Georgia for twenty-seven years. Mr. Peppers was preceded in death by a son, James “Al” Peppers; parents, William and Viola Peppers; three brothers, four sisters, and a granddaughter, Karen Rene (Whitlock) Kopanezos. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Rena Mae Nunnelley Peppers of Locust Grove, Georgia; daughters, Susan Gayle (Robert) Whitlock of Locust Grove and Brenda Rene Dempsey of Marietta; son, Jonathan Paul (Alaina) Peppers of Wamego, Kansas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Obituary: Wade Gates Pepper Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on 11, 1927, Wade grew up in Clarksburg, West Virginia and then graduated from Huntington High School in Huntington, West Virginia. Wade joined the Navy and proudly served in the Pacific theater. As a veteran, Wade attended West Virginia University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity graduating with a degree in Business. As a lifetime sports enthusiast, Wade was a high school state champion in track and then ran track at WVU. Wade channeled his love for all things sports into tennis where he was a club champion numerous times in singles and doubles at Cherokee Town and Country Club which he enjoyed as a member for forty-five years. Wade also loved his church Peachtree Road United Methodist where he was a member of the Mens Bible Study and the Timothy School Class. As a professional, Wade was a recognized leader in music promotion. 27 years with Capitol Records, Wade retired as the vice president in charge of the Country Music Division. Wade then established Wade Pepper Promotions in Atlanta where he worked closely with Bill Lowery, of the Lowery Group, promoting its extensive catalogue of songs. Wade was inducted in the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame and was a former president of the Country Music Association. Wade worked with many great artists including the band Alabama promoting the gold record song My home in Alabama," Freddie Hart promoting the gold record song Easy Lovin and Ann Murray promoting the gold record song SnowBird. Other great artist he promoted during his career include The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Nat King Cole, Buck Owens, Joe South (singer and song writer of such famed songs, I Beg your Pardon and Games People Play) and Johnny Marks (song writer of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and other Christmas classics). Wade was also a lifetime member of the Gavin Board and as such was a lifetime voting member for the Grammy Awards. Wade is survived by his wife of 63 years Maria Jane Carter Pepper, his two daughters Craige Pepper Victor and her husband Michael Victor of Erie, Pennsylvania and Carter Pepper DeHaven and her husband Travis DeHaven of Atlanta, Georgia, his grandsons Paul Bowman Root IV and Wade Clayton Root of Erie, Pennsylvania , Clayton Gates DeHaven and Howard Andrew (Drew) DeHaven of Atlanta, Georgia and his granddaughters Courtney Victor Russ and her husband Colin Russ and his great granddaughter Reagan Russ of Cleveland, Ohio and Sloane Victor of Erie, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his sisters Jane Elliot Pepper and Betty Sue Gaylord, his brother Frederick Pepper, his mother Gertrude Mae Gates Pepper and his father Wade Pepper. Obituary: Ronald Earle Peplinski, Sr., age 66, of Nahunta, GA passed away suddenly on ( 6, 2016) at his home. He was born in Flint, MI on 1, 1949. He was the son of the late Florian Peplinski of Hesperia, MI and Elizabeth Densmore of Grand Blanc, MI. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Sheila Lynn Griffis Peplinski. He was a devoted, caring, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and son who spent his life doing and helping others. He was the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back, then turn around and button it for you and yet ask nothing in return. He made it a point to help anyone that he came into contact with family or not. He was the most honest, and genuine man you could ever meet. His family was his #1 priority and nothing came before them. When he loved, he truly loved with all of his heart. He retired as a meat cutter in 2003 from Piggly Wiggly in Nahunta, but had also worked with Cauleys Meat Packing of Waycross, Harveys Supermarket in Waycross and Brunswick, Mocks IGA in Brunswick and Woodbine, and Mickeys in Blackshear. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. He enjoyed working out in the yard and was not scared of a little housework. When he wasn busy doing things in the yard he enjoyed playing on his iPad or checking out what new things his family was posting on Facebook. He was a United States Army veteran, where he proudly served our country in theVietnam War and later was stationed in Korea and Germany and earned the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Republic of Viet Nam Service Medal and Campaign Ribbon, and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
