Obituary: Dolores Pitruzzello, 85, passed peacefully under the care of Hospice on , 8, 2017 surrounded by her family. She bravely fought a 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease under the care of St. Mark Village in Palm Harbor. Born Dolores Ann Ferrisi in New York City in 1931, She married Sam Pitruzzello in 1951 and raised four sons. In 1960, she and her family moved to southeast Florida, settling in Hallandale, Hollywood and Miramar at various times. In 1978 the family moved to Clearwater. An accomplished artist, she was involved with the Creative Artist Guild of Dunedin, chairing the organization for five years. She and her husband were longtime members of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Parish Council. Earlier in life, she owned an art store in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and worked as a library assistant at what was then Chaminade High School in Hollywood. She is predeceased by her husband Sebastian R. (Sam) Pitruzzello. She leaves four sons: Steve, Pete, David and Richard; as well as two daughters-in-law, Lori and Jennifer and three grandchildren; Joshua, Erin Miller, and Alyssa. A memorial service will be held at Sylvan Abbey , 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater on , 27, 2017 at 10 AM, with interment to follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. |

Obituary: Ronald John Pitra died in his home on 5, 2015 in Sarasota Florida due to complications from pulmonary disease. He was 76. Ron “Rondo” was born on 30, 1939 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to his parents, Florence and John Pitra. He married Jeraldine “Jeri” Lawson in 1958. moved to Colorado Springs where he served at the US Air Force Academy and where he and Jeri started their family. moving back to Minnesota, he started his 30 year career with AMF, Inc. His second career, which lasted another 15 years, allowed him the opportunity to use his gift of “doing things right” as an entrepreneur in the boat supplies world and a consultant in the fire protection field. This afforded him time to spend with family and friends at his beloved cabin, which he helped build. Many memories were made at the cabin, where he shared his love of snowmobiling, fishing, boating, golfing, laughing and shenanigans with those he loved. In 2000, he officially retired to Florida where he became fast friends with his golf community at Stoneybrook. He’ll be remembered everywhere he lived for his positive attitude, whip-smart sense of humor, ability to fix anything, and willingness to help others. Ron is survived by his wife, Jeri, of 58 years, daughters Kathi, Linda, and Renee, grandchildren, Shannon Alexander, Lauren Nolen (Van Son), Mackenzie Alexander , Riley Alexander, Simon and Dewey Pitra-Balsley, and Joe Alexander, John Van Son, Chuck Balsley and Corey Nolen, his brother John Thomas Pitra, and his wife Terry and their families. He is preceded in death by his mother Florence, his father John. A reception at Stoneybrook G&CC will follow the mass. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ron’s life and to offer him a final Na zdrowie. He will be buried in a private ceremony at Sarasota National .
