Obituary: CREVE COEUR - Howard Francis Pilkington, 86, of Ocklawaha, Fla., formerly of Creve Coeur, passed away on , 21, 2011, at Villages Regional Hospital in Lady Lake, Fla. He was born 27, 1924, in Roodhouse, Ill., to George and Alta (Maeberry) Pilkington. He married Edith Harrison on Oct. 18, 1942. She died 4, 1997. He later married Dorothy "Pat" Shover on Jan. 31, 2000, in Ocala, Fla. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Louise Brian of Ocklawaha, Fla., Gary (Bobbye) Pilkington of Ocklawaha, Fla., and Beverly (Mel) McDonnough and Joyce (Tom) Hale, both of Creve Coeur; one sister, Mary (Lee) Johnston of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; one stepsister, Vickie (Chuck) Champelovier of Ocklawaha, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandson. Howard was a World War II Army veteran. He was a former member and past Commander of the Creve Coeur VFW. He also was a former member of Creve Coeur Christian Church. He worked at Caterpillar for 31 years, retiring as a pipe fitter in of 1977. He and Edith owned and operated Lake Bryant Fishing Camp for more than 20 years. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. , 29, 2011, at Remmert in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association . Obituary: Kathryn Pilkenton (McCord) passed quietly from this life on 21, 2010 at her residence in Tallahassee Florida at the age of 91. A lifelong resident of Southwest Missouri, she was born at the McCord Ranch near Crane, Missouri to Fred and Lilly McCord on 2nd, 1918. Kathryn is survived by her son Ronald Pilkenton, Eagle Rock, Missouri, daughter Kathy Pilkenton and partner Sue Sturgeon, Tallahassee, Florida, daughter Patrice Heller, Durango, Colorado, daughter Pam Summerlin, Tucson, Arizona, and grandchildren Andrew Pilkenton, Melissa Castro, Cass Heller, Zack Heller, and Emily Rypkema as well as great grandchildren Delilah, Rosario and Weston, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Kathryn was preceded in death by her loving husband and champion fiddler Derril Pilkenton in 2000. Following his death, Kathryn moved to Tallahassee, Florida to be near Kathy and Sue. During her time in Tallahassee she made many friends at Cherry Laurel and at Broadview Assisted Living. A graduate of Crane High School and Missouri State University (Southwest Missouri State Teachers ) in 1941, Kathryn taught General Business and Secretarial Practice for years in the Southwest Missouri schools of Crane, Carthage, Carterville, and retired from the Joplin School System where she won numerous awards for the publishing of the Joplin high school yearbook. She was an avid quilter, crafter, ceramics/china artist, and musician, playing the piano in church, school and with her husband. The "chimes" that she and Derril made ring throughout the world. retirement to Lone Pine Retreat on Table Rock Lake, Missouri, Kathryn and Derril attended many music gatherings in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. She was beloved by her many students and colleagues who continue, to this day, speaking of her with love and affection about her caring nature as well as the encouragement and courage that she gave them to accomplish their dreams. Kathryns ashes will be returned to Missouri for interment at the Crane Memorial where her family and husband are resting. Obituary: Marjorie Lynne Pilipchuk, 74, passed away on 17th, 2014 at Sturgil Hospice in Brooksville, Florida. She was born on 23rd, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to Cal and Emma Adele Brooks Wulff. Marge grew up in Chicago. She graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1958. high school she attended classes at Elmhurst . Marge had a Full and Prosperous professional life. She started her career at the Insurance Exchange of Chicago. Moved on to International Harvester where shed first met Jim. Harvester she moved on to Hedrickson Manufacturing then the Lyons Recreation Department. Throughout those stints Marge killed her spare time and weekends at Samacs and Braccios as Hostess and waiting tables. Marge closed her professional life retiring as Activities Director at Francis Manor in Des Plaines. Marge married Jim in 1965 at Zion Church in Lyons, Illinois. were happily married for 49 years. Marge was Queen Mum of The Florida Red Hat Mamas, Member of the Volunteer and Auxillary Fire Departments. She was active in the High Point Music and Comedy Club and the Owners Association. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, making costumes and dolls for family and friends, Cruises, Bowling and never met a Slot Machine she didn like. Marge was preceded in death by her Parents Cal and Emma Adele. Marge is survived by her spouse Jim of Brooksville, Florida; Her sons David (Jill) Pilipchuk of Countryside, Illinois, Steven Pilipchuk of Richardson, Texas and Kevin (Kathy) Pilipchuk of New Lennox, Illinois; Her Sister Beverly (Mike) Phelps of Mapleton, Illinois; Her grandchildren Bill and Jennifer, Zak and Easton and Rebecca, Robert and Jessica; Her nieces Lara Phelps Schaible, Christina Phelps and Kerry Phelps Carstens, Her Nephew Bill Phelps and Her Cousins Brad Johnson and Karen Hulstedt. Last but not least, Marge is survived by a Network of Friends too great to list. A Viewing will be held , 23rd from 4:30-8:30PM at Chapel Hill Gardens West , 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois 60181. Obituary: Joseph L. Pilinko, 85, passed away 29, 2014. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late Alex Pilinko and Domicella Thomalonis Pilinko. Joe served in the Navy during WWII. wards he worked in the coal mines in PA. He then moved to Buffalo, NY where he retired from General Motors as tool and die maker at the Tonawanda Plant. He relocated to Jacksonville in the late 1970’s. Joe was a member of the Mandarin Seventh Day Adventist Church. His main priority was his family and he also enjoyed gardening and his pets. One of Joe’s greatest achievements was being the proud father to 5 sons; he is preceded in death by son, Donald. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, LaVerne Harris Pilinko; son, Douglas (Trish) and their children, Jennifer, Kristen, Brittany, Caitlyn; son, Reginald and his son Reginald, Jr.; son, Terry (Stacey) and their children, Nicholas, Christopher (Steffanie), Lindsey (Ryan); son, Bradley (Lynn) and their children, Sydney, Madison, Alex, Trevor; sister, Elsie Szafran; nieces, Kathy, Cindy, Nancy; nephews, David, Bobby, Jimmy; sister-in-law Alverta Shaver; and 12 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00pm, , 31 at Hardage-Giddens of Mandarin. The funeral service will be 1:00pm, , 1, at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country .
