Obituary: Linda Blanton Cetin Petersen, born 3/8/38 died 8th, 2016. A native of North Carolina, Linda was a registered nurse for many years. She moved to Siesta Key over thirty-five years ago where she passed many happy days playing tennis and enjoying the beach. She was a member of many civic organizations and a long time member of the Bath and Racquet club. She is preceded in death by her brother Julius, and her sisters Angela Polk and Melva Lafore. She is survived by her spouse, Richard Petersen, her sons Kenan Cetin(Dale) and Kurt Cetin(Marie) and their father Mehmet Cetin, who remained a close friend. Her surviving grandchildren are Jonathan Cetin, Jonelle Forbes(Steven), Ashley Cetin and Zachary Cetin and a great grandson Logan Forbes. She is also survived by Step Children Margie, Wayne, Ricky, Diana, Krista and Tiffany and 9 step grandchildren and 1 step great grand child. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Carlton and many extended family members who remember her zest for life and love of the outdoors. A Committal Service will be held on , 13 at 1pm at Sarasota National with Gary Wiegand officiating. |

Obituary: Jesse said, on Twitter, just two days before his passing, “Can you look over your life and say you’d be leaving those connected to you better off having known you? If not, start today.” I think we can all safely say, we are better off for having known Jesse Petersen. Jesse Petersen, 38, passed away from complications of cystic fibrosis (CF) on 5, 2017. He waited on the lung transplant list for 110 days, but ultimately he ran through the gates of heaven with the most perfect set of lungs. He was born 18, 1978 in Boulder, CO to Jerry and Mildred (Sipes) Petersen. spending most of his growing up years in Ohio, Jesse moved to Florida with his parents in 1994 and graduated from Land O’ Lakes High School in 1997. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Jesse married Kristin Reilly on 21, 2006 in Tampa, FL. Jesse loved God fully, loved his wife fiercely, and loved his sons sacrificially. Jesse and Kristin served as foster parents to over 35 children over the past five years, and adopted their two boys in the process. Jesse had a significant following within the CF community. He wrote a CF blog where he documented his health challenges and how he faced each one with godly courage. He was devoted to encouraging and helping others with CF. Jesse owned and ran, with Kristin’s help, Petersen Media Group and was greatly respected within the WordPress community. Jesse was most known for being a Genesis Preferred Developer. He was dedicated to his profession and to his clients in providing websites that would meet and surpass their expectations. He was a theme and plugin developer and enjoyed several opportunities as a WordCamp speaker. Jesse was proud to be a WordPress educator and small business expert. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his sons, Aidan and Ivan Petersen; his wife’s parents, David and Mary-Lynn Reilly; his sister-in-law, Ashley (David) Schmid; his brother-in-law Andrew (Nicole) Reilly; and his maternal grandmother, Marilyn Sipes. Obituary: Jared Powell Petersen 78 of Fort Pierce, FL passed away 14, 2017, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 17th, 1938. He attended Boys Technical High School for a year before his family moved to Fort Pierce, FL. He is predeceased by his parents George and Evelyn Petersen. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Carol and his daughter Ginger Hester and her husband Brian, grandchildren Weslay Varn, Hannan Varn, Jake Hester, Luke Hester and Emily Hester. He also leaves behind his brothers Joram Petersen and Jordan Petersen and his wife Jane, and sisters Jorlyn Grasser and her husband Ted, and Jael Anderson and her husband Greg. In 1961 Jared was drafted into the United States Army where he served as an engineer and heavy equipment operator until 1967. While still serving in the United States Army he met and married his wife Carol Petersen on 8th, 1966. Upon an honorable discharge from the United States Army, Jared began his career back home in Florida as a heavy equipment operator. He continued to hone the skills he had learned in the Army and found a love for operating heavy equipment. Jared was also very interested in aviation. In 1967 he also obtained his pilots license from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Florida. One thing about Jared was his love for trains. Jared and a few close friends turned the backyard of Jared's residence into a playground for kids of all ages. Jared and his friends built the Poor Boys Railroad. This consisted of various landscapes with trains and track covering about a half acre of Jared's backyard. In the half acre area, there were G-Scale trains of all types running through mountains and villages. The PBRR as they called it had water features and tunnels and anything else the big kids could dream up in the backyard. Once completed, Jared and his friends began to put on a special Christmas show with the PBRR. would decorate the entire set up, including the house and the backyard. would then open it up free of charge every Christmas to people in the community to bring their families to see. For over twenty years this became a tradition in the community with PBRR opening up for all to see from 15th to 1st each year. It was truly a winter wonderland in the middle of Fort Pierce. People came from all around each year, the crowd grew bigger and the distances drove became further. This is where Jared got his name "The Train Man". A visitation will be held on from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Aycock 6026 N US Highway 1 Fort Pierce, FL with a chapel service to follow at 2:00pm, he will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Garden after service. under the direction of Aycock , Fort Pierce, FL. |
