Obituary: Rosalia Ann Penhallegon, 66, passed away peacefully on 12, 2011 at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida after succumbing to her brave battle with breast cancer. Rosalia was a dedicated wife, mother, and seeker of truth. She is survived by her husband Robert and two sons William and Douglas, her five grandchildren Harrison, Lucas, Noah, Sophie, and Alexandre, and her many close friends and beloved family members. Rosalia was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and grew up in the Toronto area. She moved to the United States to marry Robert in 1970, and their forty year adventure together took them to Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida. She proudly became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2009. Later in life she also visited Europe, Indonesia, and Africa, as well as the western United States and Alaska. Everywhere she went she made great friends and was always remembered and loved by those whose lives she touched. Rosalia succeeded in many aspects of life, including wife and mother as well as various banking positions in Canada, Maryland and Florida. Her true greatness always shined through in the way she treated others, and in her spirituality and love for God. She was a brave and open-minded person who always stood for her beliefs and encouraged others to do the same, in a spirit of kindness and decency and love for all. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Rosalias life and reception on , 30 at 4:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills , 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N, Jacksonville, Florida.
