Obituary: JOSEPH WILLIAM PEKLO 1929 - 2010 Joseph William Peklo, 81, of Pensacola, Florida died suddenly 13, 2010 at his home on Pensacola Beach. Born 9, 1929 in Long Island, New York. Joe was a 1951 graduate of the University of Florida. He was a retired merchandise manager at Sears in Pensacola and was a member of St. Pauls Catholic church. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of the Alabama Gun Collection Association and the Ohio Valley Military Society, Inc. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Peklo, his wife of 54 years Marilyn Murdock Peklo and his granddaughter Mary Beth Sledge. He is survived by his wife of five years, Shirley Curran Peklo, his children, Joseph William Peklo, Jr. (Geneva), Patricia Susie Peklo Newburn (Larry), Sandy Peklo Chandler (Rob), Debbie Peklo Lingner (Larry), Karen Peklo Deane (John), and his sister Mildred Peklo Riley, his grandchildren, Joseph Peklo III, Nicholas and Patrick Newburn, Lawrence Lingner Jr., Roby Chandler and John Matthew Deane, his stepchildren Russell Gregory Curran (Kathy) and Shannon Lee Grimes (Jay); step grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Curran and Ryan and Shane Grimes; great grandchild, Kira Curran. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., , 18, 2010 at St. Pauls Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Michael Nixon as celebrant. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Larry Newburn, Robert Chandler, Lawrence Lingner, John Deane, Joseph Peklo III and Burt Graham. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., , 16, 2010 at the funeral home. Obituary: PEKARI, Raymond “Skip”, 61, of Tampa, FL, passed away on 16, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Kathryn “Kim” Brown Pekari; his mother, Jackie Abbott of Tampa; children, Ed Pergolotti and Kristina Pekari-Hurlburt, both of CT; stepchildren, Roxanne Lane and her husband Craig Skilton of CT and Adam Lane and his wife Rachel of GA; siblings, Doug Pekari and his wife Sandy of CT, Scott Abbott and his wife Sigrid of Tampa, and Jocelyn Lisosky of CT; brother-in-law Bill Brown and sister-in-law Pat Roberson and her husband Tony, all of CT; grandchildren, Ellie, Sam, Frankie, Austin, Madison, Natalie, Kennedy, Lincoln, and one special baby on the way; several nieces, a nephew, a very dear aunt, Gladys Pekari; and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray and his brother, Donnie. Born in Connecticut and raised in West Haven, Skip attended West Haven schools. He had a variety of jobs over the years, and before he retired he was a truck driver. Skip and Kim met, married, and lived in the Tampa area since 1999. He loved motorcycles and the adventures that they brought him on. That included local bike events and just riding with friends, attending the 75th anniversary Sturgis rally, and Daytona bike week where he passed away of natural causes during the night while camping there. He lived life to the fullest! A celebration of his life will be held on , 7, with a memorial beginning at 3:00 pm in the Clubhouse at Fountainview Estates, 8800 Berkshire Ln, Tampa, FL 33635. Friends and family will continue to celebrate his life there until 7 pm. Another remembrance will take place in Connecticut at a later date. Wherever you are, think of Skip and smile. |

Obituary: Pekarek, age 82, passed away on 28, 2016. She is from Long Island, New York where she and her husband Bill, raised their five children. She loved fishing, clamming, crabbing and boating on the Great South Bay with her family. She has lived in Plant City for the last 27 years where she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing shuffleboard and exercising at Curves. She will join her son, Rod, in Heaven, as well as her grandchildren, Melissa Chapman and Victor Hicks. She will be missed by her loving and caring husband, Bill; children, John (Darlene) Pekarek, Debbie (David) Rosler, Lorraine Gill (Joyce), Valerie Pekarek; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Lisha; and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Yessie and Alyssa. The family would like to offer many thanks to her caregiver, Yolanda, for her love, laughter, and many years of devotion. Also, she had wonderful friends, neighbors and a caring staff at the Community . A visitation will be at Wells Memorial in Plant City on , 5, 2016, 2pm-3pm and a funeral service will follow at 3pm.
