Obituary: Mary Parsons, 86, of Homosassa and Crystal River, FL, and formerly of Ellijay, GA, passed away on 30, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born 2, 1928 to the late Sam and Mary (Gadus) Heffner of Perryville, MD. She helped run the family business (Sams Marina) in Perryville, MD until meeting the love of her life, Fred Parsons. marrying they ran Sarah Contractors in Baltimore, MD for 9 years before relocating to Homosassa, FL, where they started Fred Parsons Fill Dirt business, which was instrumental in creating the Riverhaven Development. also ran the Chicken Farm Motocross Track in Homosassa. selling their businesses, they divided their time between their farm in Ellijay, GA and their home in Crystal River, FL until her husbands passing in 2014. his passing, she moved to Homosassa to be with her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sue Guido. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Fred; her parents; brothers Bill and Gary and her sister Nancy. Mary is survived by her son Ron Guido (Sue) of Homosassa; her granddaughter Jessica (Laurene), great grandkids Grayson, Alina, Allison and Zack, all of Delaware; her sister Betty of Pennsylvania and brother John (Sylvia) of Maryland; stepsons Fred (Cindy) and Kevin of Maryland, and their wonderful children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Alvenia(Garnet) of Delaware. A special hank you to all the wonderful nurses and aides at Cypress Cove for their love and caring attention during Marys stay with them. Obituary: PARSONS- Marie Estelle Parsons, 92, passed away 18, 2010. She was a longtime resident of the Jacksonville Beaches. A dedicated member of St. Pauls Catholic Church, she was a humble woman who volunteered her time there and also at the American Red Cross at Mayport. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Earl; her son, John Spencer Parsons; and a grandson, Christopher Robert Getz. Survivors include her three daughters, Mary Thirtyacre, Ellen Anderson (Andy), and Ann Parsons; a son, Robert Earl Parsons; four grandchildren, Anne Marie Leeper, Alan Earl Anderson, Spencer Brodgen, and Spencer Jeffrey Parsons; and two great-grandchildren, Colten Nelson and Anniston Leeper. services will be held at 11:30 AM , 21, 2010, at St. Pauls Catholic Church. Interment will follow in H. Warren Smith . The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM (today) at Hardage-Giddens , 1701 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach.
