Obituary: Jack D. Parsons,72, died , 17, 2010, after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. He was born in Tazewell , Virginia, son of the late Claude Parsons and wife Gladys, mother Molly Payne, husband Ernest Moore. He served in the Air Force, was stationed in Korea, and was honorably discharged in 1965. He was always proud of his military service, very patriotic, loving family, God and country until the end. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, writing and music. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dolores, Tallahassee, FL; children, Michael D. and wife Susan of Philadelphia, PA, Ronald D. of Ill and daughter, Terri of Tallahassee, FL; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; brother-in-law, Jerry Wright , and wife Dorothy of Dante, VA. Obituary: Garry Dwane Parsons, 57, of Spring Hill, Florida, went to be with the Lord on 24, 2011 at Oak Hill Hospital after a long illness. He was born on 2,1953 in Charleston, West Virginia, to Ritchie and Ruby Parsons. He graduated from Nitro High school in 1972. Garry married his true love, Nancy Guthrie, in 1976. He was a carpenter and auto body technician by trade. He is survived by his wife of 34 yrs., Nancy, his daughter Aimee Gagnon (Joel), his son, Garry Andrew Parsons, three brothers: Jimmy (Phyllis), Freddie, Randy (Lora), and two sisters: Joyce Guthrie (Jack), Patricia Angela Dillon (Clinton). Brother in law: Dennis Guthrie (Gladys). He also blessed the lives of three grandchildren: Titus, Jeremiah, and Silas Gagnon. He loved every one of his nieces: Sherri, Julie, , Amber, Mary, Lori, Jody, Edith, Bethany, Analise, Isabella Claire, Isabella, Aaliyah. He loved all of his nephews: Tommy, Greg, Michael, William, Kenny, Jerry, John, Jason, Jacob, Steven, Jeff, Jerry, Matthew, Brenden, Corey, CJ, Dylan, Jordan, Joel, Brice, Asher and Zion. He had many more great nieces and nephews that he cared for deeply. Garry was a loving husband, dad, brother, uncle, and papa. His family was very important to him. He was actively involved in little league while his son Andy played from 1998-2008. He started out as an umpire, then became a coach, then vice-president, and finally, in 2002, he became president of the League. Garry enjoyed fishing with his brothers, playing the guitar, and singing with his family. He liked putting together jig-saw puzzles, playing freecell, and watching The Twilight Zone. He loved to squirrel hunt with his dog Pepper. He loved his children and grand-children deeply. He always treated people fairly, and was generous with whatever he had, even when it wasn much. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and wanted nothing more than to see people love each other with the love of God. His tenderness, his trusting spirit, and his ability to see the good in people helped to make the world a better place. He will be truly missed. We were also blessed by the arrival of our first grand~daughter, Anna Jane Gagnon, on Feb. 29,2012. He was told of her coming 2 days before he passed away,and he would have been thrilled to know that he had a grand~daughter. His last 2 grand~children were named after his Gramma, and Grampa Parsons, Silas and Anna. Obituary: Fred L. Parsons, 77, of Crystal River, FL and Ellijay, GA, passed away on Sat., Sept. 20, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer, multiple myeloma, and acute leukemia. He was born 12, 1937 to the late Charles and Elsie Parsons in Bluefield, W. Va. He ran Sarah Contractors in Baltimore, MD for nine years before relocation to Homosassa, FL in 1972, where he started Fred Parsons Fill Dirt Business, which was instrumental in developing the Riverhaven development. He also ran the Chicken Farm Motocross track in Homosassa. the businesses were sold, he and his wife divided their time between their farm in Ellijay, GA and their home in Crystal River, FL until his passing. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Parsons; sons Freddie (Cindy) and Kevin, both of Maryland; stepson Ron Guido (Susan), Homosassa; sister Alvenia Blankenship (Garnet), of Delaware, as well as his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. A true animal lover, he was the once proud owner of Patton and Jaliq; horses that captured his heart. Friends will be received on Wed., Sept. 24th from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M. at Wilder , Homosassa, FL. Interment prayers will follow at Stage Stand , Homosassa Springs, FL at 3:45 P.M.
