Obituary: Barry Scott Parker the son of Norman and Maxine Parker was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on 07, 1952. Barry passed away on 1, 2015 in the comfort of his home. Barry proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corp. from 1970 to 1972. He married and started his family in Colorado before moving to Texas in 1988. Barry was a baseball lifer. He played for over five decades and played his last game in 2014 with the over 60’s Diamondback team. This game was only one day before his second open heart surgery. Baseball was his passion; if he wasn't playing he was coaching, umpiring or watching. We cannot express our gratitude to everyone who has reached out to us during this difficult time. The memories you have shared help remind us how our dad's life impacted so many others outside of his immediate family. Anyone who has crossed paths with Barry understands his infectious personality. Given that Barry was the ultimate prankster; family and friends find it fitting that he began his journey into heaven on Fool’s Day. Barry is survived by his longtime partner Susan Fox; sisters Patty Parker and Gloria Rice; children Ryan Parker and his wife Gina, of Dallas, Keeley Arnold and her husband Beau, of Killeen, Quinn Parker, of Fort Worth and Keelan Stone, of Carrollton; grandchildren Xoe and Oscar Arnold, Taylor Licare, James Parker and Jaxon Parker.
