Obituary: GUADALUPE A. PALACIOS, known by family and friends as "Lupe," passed away on , 24, 2017 in Winter Garden, FL at the age of 93. She was a long time resident of Oakland Park, FL and worked as a Dietary Aide at North Ridge Hospital for approximately 28 years. She is survived by her children: Barbara Wessels, Aurea Alma and Tony Palacios (Nancy); grandchildren: Carlos Alma, David Matos (Cathy), Olivia Cytrynowicz (David), Alessandra Alma, Miguel Palacios, and Nicolas Palacios; great-grandchildren: Oscar Cytrynowicz, Angelina Matos, Otto Cytrynowicz, Carlos Alma, Alec Matos, and Ivy Cytrynowicz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her memory at 11:30 a.m. on , 30, 2017 at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Chapel, followed by interment. She was a kind soul and will be missed by her family and friends. |

Obituary: Crucita Palacios 91, of Davie Florida entered into rest 14, 2011 in Pembroke Pines, Florida.A Memorial Service will be held 30, 2011 at 7:00pm at Forest Lawn South . Visitation will be held 30, 2011 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Forest Lawn South . Crucita was born in Juncos; Puerto Rico on 30, 1919, to her proud parents Venancio (Tuto) Rivera a prominent Detective in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, and Secundina Lopez Rivera, a very proud and politically inclined mother. At a young age she moved to Santurce, Puerto Rico with her family and there she lived until she married. She was the younger of two siblings, her older brother Julio Rivera and sister ina (Tinita) Rivera. She met the love of her life, Manuel Palacios, and was married on 30, 1940. 30, 1941 she had her first child, a son, Manuel Palacios, Jr. "Manny". Her husband was so proud of his son, that he showed him off to everyone saying this is my son! She continued living in Santurce until 1944, when she migrated to New York City to join her husband Manuel Palacios, who had migrated to N.Y. several months earlier. She arrived in New York City with her three year old son, Manny holding on to her strong hand, and nine months pregnant with her daughter, Evelyn. Crucita fell in love with New York City, and enjoyed every day she lived there. She learned the language, took care of her children and protected them from any possible harm. She had a very strong character, warm heart, and was a proud hard working woman, She worked 36 years at Continental Connectors Inc., and when she retired; she told everyone she was on vacation. She did not want anyone to know she was 65 years old. She loved New York, but was very proud of her heritage. She would not allow anyone to call her a "boricua"; she would always respond that she is Puerto Rican, and very proud of it! She so loved N.Y., that whenever we suggested she move to Florida, she would sing "I love New York". As life would have it, in a span of about 18 months she lost her beloved mother in law, Romana Palacios, her son Manny, and shortly after her husband. Seven years ago, we drove to New York to pick up Crucita and bring her to Florida. Of her 91 years of age, 60 were lived in New York. The Love of Her Life: Her Husband, The joy, her children, The pride, her grandchildren. She lived through their eyes, and spoiled them to her delight. Her Hobby: In her spare time she crocheted beautiful table cloths, bed spreads and doilies for her family and friends. Her favorite flower: Calla Lily The Bible says that grandchildren are the crown of the grandparents (Proverbs 17:6) and God crowned Crucita with two beautiful and loving grandchildren, Manijeh-Monique and David-Bijan and further crowned her with a wonderfull fgreat grand-daughter, Chailyn Janel. |
