Obituary: Otis Pace, 97, of Orlando, Florida passed away on May 27, 2015. Otis was born in Saluda, North Carolina on 11, 1918 to the late Jesse and Mary Ann Pace. Otis was a member of Powers Drive Baptist Church since 1965 and served as a deacon. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in WW II and landing on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France on 6, 1944. Upon his discharge in , 1945, he returned to Orlando, Florida where his family had moved from North Carolina. Otis worked at Armour and Meat Packing and then started his own Landscaping business, Pace Lawn Services. Otis retired from his lawn care business in 2013 at the age of 94. Otis was preceded in death by his first wife Ova Pace his son Edward Henry Pace four brothers and eight sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Delores Pace, daughter, Vivian Napier, Sandra Ann Howell, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his step children, Mary Gazzola, Daniel Ekdahl, Stephen Ekdahl and Karin Brantner. He also is survived by five step-grandchildren and nine step- great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on 6, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:00am with a service to follow at 11:00am at Powers Drive Baptist Church 3311 N. Powers Dr. Orlando, Florida 32818. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the church with a committal service and military honors to follow at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Woodlawn Memorial Park and is entrusted to arrangements. |

Obituary: Mary Lucille Pace was called back to our savior on 27, 2015. Born on May 4, 1939 in Tifton, Ga. she led a life filled with much happiness and joy. graduating from high school in Tifton,Ga. she went on to college at Valdosta State University where she earned her bachelors degree in microbiology. She then started her professional life in Atlanta, Ga. where she worked for the state as part of their TB program. While living and working in Atlanta she met the man who would be the love of her life. She married Richard Pace on 28, 1962. had 2 children and then moved to Orlando, Fl. because of a job transfer. Mary again went to work for the state in the department of laboratory services. She later transferred to DEP to work in the drinking water division. It was from DEP that she retired. her retirement, she finally had time to do what she had wanted to do for years and that was to travel with Richard. spent time with their children and grandchildren in Georgia and in Oregon and they traveled with her brothers and cousins across the country on more than one occasion. Even her cancer diagnosis didn't keep her from going and doing what she wanted to do. |
