Obituary: Gail Olbert, 68, passed away on 6, 2015 in her home in Clinton, CT surrounded by family, after battling multiple sclerosis for 27 years. She leaves behind her best friend and husband of 40 years John, her married daughter Jessica Sharbaugh and her husband Ben, and grandson William of Massachusetts, her daughter Jean Olbert and her partner Kyle of Hawaii, her brother Andrew Tofil and his wife Monica, and her mother Verona Tofil of Arizona. Gail was born and raised in Connecticut and received her master's degree in education from Purdue University in Indiana. She was a talented school teacher but most of all loved being a mother and a homemaker. Gail loved spending time outdoors, reading books, going camping, being by the shore, watching birds, and in particular spending time drinking tea with her husband. She loved being with her family and taking time to pray with her friends. Her smile lit up the room. Calling hours will be held on , 10th from 11am - 12pm at Swan in Clinton, CT. Obituary: Lynda Lee Olander, 46 of Waterford died 1, 2014 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT., literally surrounded by her family and friends. Lynda was born in Norwich CT, the daughter of Dorothy (Bernges) Olander and the late Henry Buzz Olander, Sr. Besides her mother, Lynda leaves behind her wife, Jane Oliver of Waterford, her brother, Henry Buzz Olander, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Uncasville. Lynda graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1987 where she started her softball career. ward playing for many years in recreation leagues, starting in Norwich from 1987-1991. From 1992 until 1997 she, along with her lifelong friend Traci, coached and played first base for the Charter Oak Team-New London Womens Softball, and they continued in Baltic for the next few years. Lynda ended her softball career in the co-ed league at the Sportsplex in Vernon, CT in 2004. softball she joined the APA and played on numerous 8-Ball and 9-Ball teams over the years, even winning a state championship and going on to play the National Championship Tournament in Las Vegas in 2008. She was also an avid UConn Huskies Womens Basketball fan and attended many Final Four Tournaments, most recently, in 2010 with Jane in San Antonio. Lynda worked at the CT Water , in Clinton, CT for 25 years, starting as a Drafter and ending her career as an Engineering Technician. She had many friends there as she always made friends wherever she went. Lynda had a special way of making any occasion a reason to laugh and her laughter was contagious. Her smile could light up a room and even in the end, she was still more worried about the people around her than herself. Lynda was an organ donor and in death was able to help two people with the gift of sight, through the CT Eye Bank. Lynda married her best friend, Jane Oliver, on 21, 2013. It truly was a soul-mate kind of love that not everyone is lucky enough to have. Lynda fought the fight against pancreatic cancer for a long time, still making people laugh along the way. Lynda is going to be missed by the many people that her life touched, but the important thing now is that she is no longer in pain, and is resting in peace. A celebration of her life will be held on 13, 2014 from 4pm – 7pm at the home of Dennis and Suzanne OConnor, 568 Montauk Avenue, New London, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the East Lyme-Waterford Animal Control. |

Obituary: Gwendolyn Eunice Olander, of Westbrook, died on 12, 2015, in Middletown. She was born on 24, 1927, in Hartford, VT, the daughter of Carroll and Ressie Pyer. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. She was the widow of Stanley Olander. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Royea of Clinton, her son Stephen Olander of Wallingford, a brother Walter Pyer of West Lebanon, NH, granddaughters Tricia Royea of Norwich, Dawn Egan of Branford and Stephanie of Wallingford, grandsons Lester Royea of Clinton and Stephen Olander, II, of Wallingford, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by several step grandchildren. She spent the last year and eight months at Apple Rehab in Old Saybrook, CT. She loved being there and they loved her. Obituary: Geraldine E. Olah, age 75 of Monroe. Beloved wife and mother passed away on 9, 2015. Geraldine was raised in Stratford and a long-time resident of Monroe. Geraldine was born in Throop, Pennsylvania, to Jacob and Florence Nemirovich. She is survived by her husband, Bela; her daughter, Kimberly and her husband, Andrew of Stratford; her brother, Robert Nemirovich of Ormond Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Stratford High School and the Bridgeport Hospital School of . She worked at Bridgeport Hospital and St. Josephs during her nursing career. She enjoyed time with family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on , 13th at 10am at St. Judes Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.
