Obituary: It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Charles H. Owens. Charles was born on 16, 1924, in Allen, OK, to Francis "Frank" and Nancy Owens. Charles had nine siblings. He entered the gates of heaven on , 5, 2016, at the grand old age of 91. Growing up on the family farm, Charles entered the United States Navy at age 18 and served with distinction in World War II. World War II, he moved to California, living in Fresno since 1946. Charles was a plastering contractor until the early 1970's, at which time he switched careers to become an insurance managing general agent. Being a devout Christian, Charles devoted his time to spreading the message of Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Church for over 40 years as well as being instrumental in the construction of many local churches as a volunteer. Until the summer of 2015, he was a regular at the Clovis Farmers market for two and a half years playing his "fiddle", talking and singing for donations of which were forwarded in their entirety to local non profit organizations or to someone he felt was in need. He was a member of the Gideon's society. He influenced many and was loved by all. Thanks so much to the many caregivers and friends for your support. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia; as well as three children; five step-sons; one step-daughter; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair on , 18, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Church, G.L. Johnson Chapel on , 19, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. |

Obituary: Carole Joan Owens, 71, born on 13, 1942, in Quincy, Massachusetts to Bernard Pica and Mary Caliacco, passed away 30, 2014. She resided in Anaheim, California, at the time of her passing. She moved to Los Alamitos in 1954 and graduated from Western High School in 1960. She was retired after working for the Assessors Office and Orange Fire Authority. She leaves behind a loving husband of 38 years Jimmy Owens, daughters Lisa Asman and Gia Mendez, sons Jon Muir, Jim Owens and Eric Owens. She had 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was survived by her brother Bernard Pica. are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California. The service will be held on 8, 2014 at 11:30 am in the Church of Our Fathers at Forest Lawn, Cypress. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to breast cancer research in her honor. |
