Obituary: Olin, Mary Beth (Nelson) Beth Olin of Plano, TX passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on , May 3, 2010 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born in Watonga, OK on 29, 1947 to James Boyd and Nina Nelson of Geary, OK. She was preceded in death by her mother Nina Burns Nelson of Geary, OK. She is survived by her devoted father James Boyd Nelson formerly of Geary, OK and current resident of Plano; loving husband of 38 years, Gifford Olin; daughter, Ashlee, husband Rod Daniel and grandson Mason of Fairfield, TX; son, Chance Olin of Fort Worth; brother Jim Nelson of Plano; niece, Angie Nelson of Plano; and nephew, Jay Nelson, wife Brooke, and great nieces, Riley and Montgomerie of Dallas. She will also be missed by her faithful King Charles Spaniel, Toby. Beth was born in Watonga, Ok where she went to Geary High School. She attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from South Western State University. moving to Dallas she met and married her husband, Gifford Olin in 1972. moved to Plano where their two children, Ashlee and Chance were born. Beth was an avid supporter in all the school and sport activities of her children, as well as the activities of her nephew and niece. She was a member of the Plano Junior League, American Cancer Society of Collin and for many years she chaired the Plano Golf Tournaments benefiting the Quarterback Club of Plano Senior High. Beth was a gifted pianist who used her talent to play in church, entertain her friends and in her later years to provide joy to her fathers friends at his retirement home. Beth charmed everyone with her sweet smile and sense of humor her strength and faith gave inspiration to all whose lives she touched. A memorial service will be held on , May 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Plano, TX. Reception to follow. An additional service will be held in Geary, OK, on , May 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Reception to follow. He loved to wear Hawaiian shirts. If you have one, please wear it in his honor. Jim was not a suit person! Jim was born on May 22, 1953, in San Antonio to the late Howard L. and Frances Wolford Oligher. He lived many places before settling in Arlington with the love of his life, Tim Ingram. were together for 24 years and celebrated their love by getting married on 1, 2015, on their 24th anniversary. He liked to tell people that he believed in long engagements! Having retired from American Airlines and worked at Southwest Airlines for the past four years, Jim loved to travel. His favorite destinations were Hawaii, Puerto Vallarta or any Caribbean cruise. He was a great chef and had a dry sense of humor. Those preceding him in death are his parents and a nephew. He is survived by his husband, Tim Ingram; siblings: Phyllis and husband, Bill; John and wife, Pam; Carol; Patricia; Irene; Joan; Sharon and husband, Rick; Linda and husband, Joe; David and wife, Sherri; Alan and sister-in-law Karen. Also, he is survived by his in-laws: father and mother-in-law, Dwain and Jerry; brothers-in-law: David and wife, Terry; Paul; Steve and wife, Jennifer; and sister-in-law Valerie and husband, Don; along with nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and Southwest co-hearts who loved him and will miss him. Obituary: David Olian, age 72, of San Antonio died , 3, 2003. David was born on 4, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. As a young boy his family moved from New York to Miami Beach, Florida. He lived there and attended Miami Beach High and graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He served in the United States Army during the Korean war. his honorable service, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he began a most successful career in sales. In Birmingham he met his wife of 44 years Eva Weiss. While in Alabama they had three children. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1964 and lived there for 10 years and ending up in San Antonio. David was a Sales Representative for Levi-Strauss for 20 years. This gave him such joy. He loved being in sales and being with people. Consistently his entire career he was an outstanding achiever. Recognition as Salesman of the Year in 1977 as well as member of the PresidentÂs Club. He was involved for many years in the Agudas Achim MenÂs Club, BÂNai Brith and a member of the American Legion. Our beloved David gave a most valiant fight until the very end. He is now at peace. He was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all of his many friends, business associates around the country and family. Survived by wife, Eva Olian; daughters, Suzanne Olian and husband, Jim Ihle of Houston, TX, Ilene and husband, Jim Franco of San Antonio, TX; son, Bruce Olian and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Jimmy Ihle, Jeffrey Franco, and Nathan Olian; mother, Sylvia Solomon of San Antonio, TX; brother, Robert Olian and wife, Lynn.
