John Nelson and Chaplain Martin Adamson officiating. Diane passed away on , 10, 2015, in Tyler. She was born on 9, 1939 in Downing, Wisconsin to the late Harry Norman Nelson and Mildred Mae Williams Nelson. Diane was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. She served in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1960. She was stationed in Georgia and Japan. Diane graduated from Garden City Community in Garden City, Kansas in 1975 with a degree in nursing. She worked in Kansas and Colorado. She moved to Tyler in 1980 and worked at East Texas Medical , retiring in 2004. She is survived by daughter, Maria Dykes; sister, Jean Dudley; brother, John Nelson; grandson, Brady Dykes; nieces, Kristin Featherston and Amber Fowler; nephews, Clint Twomby, Tate Twomby, Blair Nelson, Christopher Nelson and Mike Nelson; and best friends, Leona Adamson, Martin Adamson and Marvin Adamson. Obituary: Robert Dale Ohmart, 76, passed away May 1, 2015 at 5:15pm. He was born in McPherson, KS, on 19, 1938 to Verle V. and Fern Ohmart. He is the 2nd born son with an older and a younger brother. Bob started school in Wichita, Kansas, during the Second World War. the war his family spent three years in Buhler, Kansas. The rest of his youth was spent in Scott City, KS, where he graduated from high school in 1956. In the fall of 1956 Bob enrolled in the University of Kansas. There he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity. Bob was selected for Tau Beta Phi and other honorary engineering societies. He received a B.S. from the University of Kansas in Aeronautical Engineering in 1961. As a lieutenant in the US Army, he served in Germany and Fort Benning, Georgia, from 1961-64. In 1962 he married Carolyn Craig in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, with whom he spent his life. He returned to K.U. in 1964 earning a Masters Degree in 1966 and a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics in 1968. From 1968 until his retirement in 1994, Bob worked for Conoco as a Research Associate and Senior Staff Engineer. During this time, he worked in Ponca City, Oklahoma, London, England, and Houston, Texas. He enjoyed hunting and after retirement, he became an avid bird watcher, searching for uncommon birds in the contiguous U.S., Alaska and Canada. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of 52 years. Also, his daughter Kimberly Meek and her husband Don, Keith Ohmart and his wife Tisha. He has three grandchildren: DJ Gibson, from his daughter, and Taylor and Regan Ohmart from his son. He is also survived by his 2 brothers: Richard and wife Carol Ann Ohmart, Harold and wife Carol Ann Ohmart, and numerous nieces and nephews. An Honor Guard Ceremony will be held May 15, at 2:15 at the Veterans Memorial , 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston 77038. A Remembrance of Life will be held at the Solana at Cinco Ranch, 24001 Cinco Village Blvd, Katy, TX, 77494, on , May 17, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society, The Multiple Sclerosis Society, or a charity of your choice. |

Obituary: Ann Margaret Ohlson, age 67, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away 30, 2015, at Saint Lukes Hospital. Ann was born in Cherokee, Iowa, on 21, 1948. She graduated from Aurelia High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Missouri. She worked as a Supervisor for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission and received numerous awards throughout her career high-lighted by being recognized as the San Antonio Woman of the Year. Ann touched and influenced very many lives throughout her career. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She loved reading, going to movies, socializing with friends, and organizing annul family trips and reunions, especially trips back to Iowa to visit the farm and spend time on Storm Lake. Ann is survived by her daughter, Joyce Cantu Rhodes; sister, Candace Kluesner and brothers Matthew Ohlson and Mark Ohlson; grandson, Martin Cantu; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Cantu and by her parents Margaret Ohlson and Gus Ohlson. There will be celebrations of life at the Sunset Chapel on Austin Hwy. in San Antonio on , 18th at 10:00 am. |
